hahaha, agreed reef, make crayton the backup! on a serious note, i say romo, he's been in the league a bit longer than henson, and from the last few games i haven't seen anything good from henson, rookie mistakes, i don't think he's ready to take on the 1st string defense of any team at this point

Why not Vinny as an option?

Why not Vinny as an option?Maybe because Vinny is unquestionably the Best QB on the roster.

I know. That is what's so sad.

this is a prime example of where stats are misleading. romo's play improved over the course of preseason to the point he has probably bumped the 'annointed one". henson's play seemed to gradually decline. there were suggestions that he was pretty tired-out by training camp's end. his play seems to bear this out. even though their over-all preaseason stats are quite similar, if you look at the trends - romo's stock increasing - henson's has levelled off.

I didn't vote because it is really a moot point for me. I expect to see Henson starting next year (if not sooner) and into the future for us. The backup for this year? I don't care, let BP decide.

Lets hope it stays a moot point too. Should Vinny go down early in the season, I hope they go with Romo. I wouldn't want to take the chance of retarding Henson's growth by throwing him to the wolves too soon. Better to be safe than sorry IMO. Late in the year, I hope Henson will have shown enough in practices to have earned enough confidence from the coaches to be number 2. So early, Romo, late, Henson..

Oh wait it is for the Cowboys...hmmm... I guess I'll go with Romo right now. A little sharper and BP says he manages the game better.

I can live with that.

Why don't you just start following the Jets and save us all some time?
