He basically said that he's never seen anyone play this well coming in mid-season in his entire life.

Then he said that it has to end some time. He may or may not be right.

Brady came in the same way, though a bit earlier in the season in 2001, and he hasn't looked back since.

I'm not saying that Romo is in Brady's league, yet. However, I don't see any sign of this kid slowing down.

Mediots were amazed at Romo's preseason, and they said, 'Wait til the real bullets fly and see how he plays."

Now the real bullets are flying, and he's playing well, so they say, "Wait til teams get film on him, and see what happens."

Teams have lots of film on him, and he's still playing well, so they say, "It has to end soon."

:laugh2:

:laugh2:Actually, Romo put up better numbers in his first 4 starts than Brady did when he came in.

Did he not see Marc Bulger in 2002, or was he too busy writing yet another book bashing the Cowboys of the 1990s?

Actually, Romo put up better numbers in his first 4 starts than Brady did when he came in.

True, but my point is that the media will continue to grasp at straws week after week. They have now resorted to saying, "The bottom has to fall out on Romo, it just has to."

The truth is that some players just get it, and they have more good days than bad days. Brady has bad days, Peyton Manning has bad days, but the key is to have more good days than bad ones. Both of those players get it.

Romo has had more good days than bad days so far, and this is nothing but encouraging.

The TV goes on mute when Skip's talking. I can tolerate Woody Paige most of the time.

i thought we voted to ban any threads with "Skip Bayless" in the title or subject matter.....
He is such a reknown and established idiot that he's really not worth talking about. He's unprofessional and horrible at his job in all sincerity.
I think he tries to be loud and controversial but he just comes off as obnoxious, uninformed, and idiotic. Most of what he says is either moronic or flat out incorrect.
I really don't have any idea how he still has a job in sports. And I don't know of anyone that doesn't think he's an idiot.

Bayless still isn't half as bad as Mark May, he makes college gameday unbearable to watch

Yeah, I read that he said that also. So, it's a legit quote. Of course he said it with a smile on his face, so it was a bit tongue-in-cheek. Kind of like when he said he lets 75% of what BP says go in one ear and out the other. That's the kind of light-hearted banter/repoire that he and BP have.
