Am I the only one surprised we didn't pull starters at the end of the game? No way Romo should have been in there when we were up 28. Even though he was just handing off, weird injuries pop up sometimes. Was BP worried about embarassing Bledsoe by giving him mop up duty? Also, I thought Flo should have been pulled for Fabini. Flo is our 2nd most important player on offense- why leave him in. Great win but needless risk at the end of the game.

There is no way BP will EVER pull Romo and put Bledsoe in there for mop up duty.

Bledsoe has played the good teammate, but I am sure he would NOT be okay with that.

Supposedly, some coaches asked Bledsoe if he wanted to go in but he declined. If you are the coach, wht ask for his opinion?

Bledsoe was asked if he wanted to go in and mop up and he refused. Polite was a RB. I saw both Hurd and Miles out there at the end. Didn't notice much on the OL however.

Well if I were in Bledsoe's shoes, it would be pretty humiliating. You are now mopping up for the guy who took your starting job.

I just don't think Parcells wanted to really tick Bledsoe off. Parcells may need him at some point this year.

With the exception of the Houston game, Bill Parcells never put Romo in when the Cowboys had a convincing win in hand so why should he have inserted Bledsoe?

Besides, you don't put a veteran QB in the game in a mop up role. It's demeaning. You usually reserve that for rookies, young players and veteran quarterbacks who don't have many skulls on their helmets, so to speak.

No matter what we think of Bledsoe, he was considered among the elite quarterbacks in the league at one point in his career.

Well then, we had better promote the kid from the practice squad.

Unfortunitely, I agree with you.

You pull your starters for one reason, to avoid injury in garbage time, why risk it. Let´s face it, Romo is our MVP, if he´s injured our season is done.

He shouldn´t be out there in garbage time, I really don´t care for Bledsoes feelings.

exactly...

i mean if he truly thinks "I give the team the best chance to win" then he should be a good teamate and go on in to "help the team win"....

what's wrong with that?

at this point in his career, he should be thrilled to collect 5 figure game checks.

sheesh...

Hurd and Miles Austin were in at WR, I think Miles had a penalty on him for not being set up when he was in. Polite got a bunch of carries at the end. Im not sure who else on offense got to come in

And can we find a new holder for kicks? Last thing I want is someone sliding in to block a kick and nailing Romo.

In the 4th, pretty much the only starters playing were in the secondary, although I think Roy was out, the Oline, and Romo.

Okay, who said they asked Bledsoe to go in and he refused? Where is the source? Post a link. Let's see it!

It's too late in the season to get a new holder in there. Vanderjagt is struggling enough already without having to get used to a new holder. Especially an inexperienced one.

We will have to wait until next offseason to train up a new holder. For now it has to be Romo.

Hopefully McBrier can do it next year.

Well I seen Juinor Glymph play some and Hatcher played like the whole 4th Quarter and a bit of the 3rd.

Nobody asked me but ...

1. Coach Parcells may have himself a teeny, tiny QB problem.

Not Romo. The other one. Coaches asked former starting-QB-turned-Cowboy-backup Drew Bledsoe if he wanted to go in for mopup duty Thursday.

He declined.

He figured Tony Romo had been having another amazing day, and what was the point. Bledsoe is right about the amazing day. Romo finished an unbelievable 22 of 29 for 306 yards and five touchdowns.

So much for anybody thinking he's coming back to earth anytime soon.

What Bledsoe is wrong about is there being no point. Coach Parcells cannot keep keeping Romo out there in garbage time. He is too valuable to the long-term playoff hopes of the Cowboys.

So I do not care if it is slightly uncomfortable or feels weird, the next time the Cowboys are up by four touchdowns late, Bledsoe has to go in.

And if he does not want to, Matt Baker needs to be the other active QB. Period.

Sorry ,I don't buy it.
If it benefits the team get your butt out there.
What if TR got hurt just to not hurt feelings.
For the betterment of the team sometimes you have to bite the bullet.
And if he's a veteran ,he knows whats expected to help his TEAM win.

If I find this to be true ,that Bledsoe refused (which I don't understand having to ask him) I'll lose alot of respect for him. Veteran or not, you do what you have to for team,.

I agree completely. Give the Statue of Liberty the boot if he doesn't want to come in to relieve the starter in a blowout game.

they did'nt "tell" drew to go into the game. they ask him if he wanted to go into the game and he said no. whats the big deal? if bill had wanted him in there he would have been in there. bill doesw'nt really like to take out his qb no matter the score.you can be injured on any play, you can't re4ally worry about that.
