He said that Romo energizes team

Players want to play hard for him

Offensive players know that he will get everyone the ball

Lineman block harder

The defense is the first to meet and congratulate Romo when he comes off the field after a score

Absolutely.

I have watched Parcells for years. I don't know who that guy that's been on the sidelines for the past 2 1/2 years is...but this guy, I'm starting to recognize.

He wasn't always ONLY sour...grouchy...stern.

He DID have fun too.

Looks like is starting to again.

Bledsoe just dripped a total lack of energy..the guy just LOOKED like a bummer.

Romo is quite the opposite.

So the reports of his imminent retirement were greatly exaggerated?

How bout the comment Drew made to troy in the preseason about Romo, I am paraphrasing. Drew told Troy, "I am afraid to get injured because I may never get my job back from him."

Funny what winning will do to a man. Parcells told one of his buddies that the Dallas project would take as long as it would take him to find a QB.

I took this to mean a good QB that he could actually win with on a regular basis. I think the Vinny-Boy's and Bedsoe's were a stop-gap until they could sign in FA or unearth a QB another way.

Enter Romo, he has made ALL the difference on the team and for an aging coach who has a tough time in these twilight years dealing with the mounting losses.

Funny how finally finding the "guy" at the QB position has morphed the team and Parcells into something we all gladly embrace but have not seen in a long time.:)

I really wanted the Cowboys to go hard after Drew Brees, it was obvious to me this team only needed a high quality QB to be VERY good. We had plenty of cap room and didn't even seem interested. In hindsight, it makes more sense now. If Romo plays out the rest of this year like he's been playing, we should lock him up with Brees level money for the rest of his career.

There is no way they could have signed Brees when they already had Bledsoe. Bledsoe was coming off a close to 4000 yard season and we were a field goal kicker away from being 12-4! Hindsight says sure Brees was a better option to have than Deadslow but Romo has proved that he is a better option than Brees. Brees may have more yards than Romo but his ints in the last few games (not to mention that a few of his ints have come in the red zone which is so bledsoeique) shows that Romo makes better decision. I like brees and I think the chargers were wrong not to stay with him and should have used those draft picks from the giants more wisely but rivers has shown that he is also a good qb.

The bottem line is Romo is a good qb and this is simply a diamond in the rough that the Cowboys have found. It happens. Just like Warner, who was undrafted and sacking groceries when he was signed, the Rams got lucky and rode him to two super bowls. It happens and there is no sense in the what if game.

Romo is definitely living a charmed life right now. We are all in disbelief of his meteoric rise. Next thing you know, he will be on the presidential ballot.

First it would be great if he could get on the Pro Bowl ballot, and then we can go from there.
