Great to be here, even though Notre Dame gy isn't there.....other pleasantries....

Romo - Jaws broke him down pretty well previously. Diamond in the rough, DIv. 2 QB. Got the mental toughness, and the physical skills and good mechanics. Dallas kept him around, Payton tried to trade for him, everyone liked him. He's been able to transfer practice field to game situation, showing that he's a quality QB. Got behind to Carolina, didn't bother him. Teamates believe in him. Tony transfers his competitiveness to his teammates.

Sees Dallas as potential super bowl team. Calvin Watkins had former players come to team to talk about life after football - Roger told the team that they were better than they thought they were, that they had something special on the team. Defensive leaders, special player, offensive talent, and Romo's brought the spark to the team. They understand that they can do it now, and have confidence.

Roger was most nervous before first Army-Navy game. Couldn't sleep, President was there, had dreamed about doing it the year before. No fun to go back to Bancroft Hall after losing Army-Navy game.

I heard the same interview and Superpunk's breakdown is dead on.

I'll reemphasize Staubach's comments about Romo being likable and well liked by his teammates and his emphasis on competitiveness. He said that a QB has to be competitive and that he has to transfer his competitiveness to his teammates.

Mike ? ( Mike Golic was sick) was suggesting just before the interview that Romo might prove to be a better QB than RS or TA.

Army vs. Navy is tomorrow. I almost forgot. I think Navy's coach, Johnson (first name escapes me at the moment), could be a candidate to run a big program that recently fired their Head Coach. Alabama, Arizona State, or Miami. The guy can flat out coach.

I know he does and I wouldn't be surprised if he stays. He'll get some pub though. So will Schiano at Rutgers I suspect, though I think he wants Penn State when Joe Pa steps down. I think I heard Beano Cook mention something about that.

Danny White should be offered the ASU job. JMO.
