I don't see how that would surprise anyone, seeing as how Matt Millen is stoopid. If I'm a Lion's fan, I'm praying every night that they finally fire him.

Come to think of it, how did he get that position in the first place? Did he go straight from the booth to GM?

Then my pick might be Adrian Peterson.

I would draft Calvin Johnson with #1, and find a speed guy later in the draft, or in Free Agency, or Tyson Thompson to take over for Julius. We have our 3rd Down back/Goal Line Back/ 4th Quarter back in Barber.

So Packers, Texans, and Browns are the favorites for Adrian Peterson?

I can't see any of the other taking him.

even if these make believe scenarios are true, I still disagree on the premise of drafting a top 5 player. Sure they are more likely to suceed, but they demand a huge contract compared to the lower picks of the same round.

I would like to look at a WR myself but I'm more inclined to take a quality OL. I'd like to take a nice Tackle prospect or maybe a quality young NT. I'm old fashioned in that way. Build your lines and the rest will work itself out.

I agree. If somebody special falls, you have to look at that or make a trade. I am not crazy about taking another DB with a 1st round pick. I am hopeful that Watkins is the answer. Landry is a great player but that's an awful lot of investment in the defensive backfield. Adrian would be nice though.

I'm more partial to Reggie Nelson at this point, but I'd rather not draft D in the first.

Dallas wouldn't draft a RB in round 1, not even Peterson.

While the WR from Georgia Tech has the measurables, it troubles me that Chan Gailley coudn't actually do much with him or keep him involved in the offense.

I'd love Duane Jarrett, USC, at WR as well, though both would probably be gone before Dallas picks. As a USC fan, I'm actually hoping Jarrett will stay in school with Booty and give USC a great chance at a title next year. Of their 22 starters, Pete Carroll only had 4 seniors starting. :)

I prefer OL as well, but I wouldn't turn Landry down to finish off a killer young D.

Look for us to trade out of round 1 this year.

I can actually see us trading up this year. We don't have too many holes to fill and may be looking for the final piece or two to make us an elite unit.
