With sopcast. Downloaded it last week thanks to a tip from some fellas here on the zone and it worked flawlessly. I'm counting on that for the Saturday night game against Atlanta. Don't have a link but I think googling sopcast should point you in the right direction.

The NFL seems to be ratcheting things up a notch in their battle with some cable providers.
They've purchased the rights to the Texas Bowl (the Rutgers game) and will be the exclusive provider of the game since there's no local market rules in effect covering college football. Most of New Jersey and NYC won't get to see the game.

I'll be out of town next week and would very much appreciate the channel number?

For me it's channel 12993 on sopcast. I assume it's the same for everyone but don't hold me to that. There's a replay of the Dallas/NY game from this past Sunday on there tonight at 8:00 pm EST. Happy viewing, hope this helps all those who have been screwed by their cable companies!
my cable company cablevision does not carry nfl network.....
and we are not allowed to have satellite dishes at our apartment complex....
that is why i am asking to watch nfl network online......
if i could i would pay for the network......i am not a cheapskate!!

Never had SopCast, but I used TVUplayer once and had to wait for the game to begin for me to be able to get it. I am guessing it is the same deal with this one.

Funny, it was on when I started typing what channel it was, and by the time I posted my reply it was gone. I guess someone out there knows what we're up to. :D Nah, it'll probably come back up once the game starts, at least I'm hoping so. Worked just fine for me last week to watch the Bengals and Ravens. We can hope.
I hear you guys.......
Come on Zoners, throw us a freaking bone.....

I tried bringing it up in my viewed channels list and got the message "the channel is offline". I'm a total newb to sopcast so I don't know exactly when you should expect it to come back "online". Let's hope it's within the next 45 minutes. Will keep checking, if it comes up I'll let you fellas know.

www.streamtvnow.com works pretty well but you have to pay a small sum in order to see the games.

Tell your cable company to go take a hike and put up a satellite. Join the revolution. :p:
This I say as I sit here sipping on a drink awaiting the installer that's coming ot swap out my 3 lnb dish for a 5 lnb dish and attach my brand spanking new Dual Tuner HD DVR box to my 60 inch sxrd. I'm going to be in Cowboys heaven this Sunday.
She's late though. Got stuck on another job and won't be here til after 7pm..GRRRR (you know i'm waiting all night if I have to though) :lmao2:

I would LOVE to do that, as the cable company here in Iowa (Mediacom) is absolutely TERRIBLE. The worst customer service I have ever seen. That being said I live in an apartment, and like another person already mentioned, there is no room, nor is it allowed to have a dish. I'm stuck with cable untill my lease runs out in July.

I think I speak for everybody in this predicament when I say I'm not switching my entire network provider so I can watch one football game. It's a ridiculous situation, but to paint it with such a broad brush and blame the consumers is a bit much.

I had Mediacom down here in Florida. Straight garbage. I just completely got rid of any instance of Mediacom in my house about 9 months ago. I haven't been happier than I am today. :D

I agree. The situation is ridiculous. However, if you look at the value of having NFL Network then you would agree that the cable companies should do a little negotiation. Notice that not all of the cable companies are going without it. The smart ones are sucking it up and carrying it.
Regardless, The consumer is never to blame. Period...

Go to that site. It has a schedule for NFL games being shown over Sopcast, TVU Player, etc.
Download the respective program then go to the channel listed on the site.

Oh I agree, cable companies, namely TWC (my provider) should absolutely be carrying the NFL Network. But as I understand it the NFL Network has been completely unreasonable and has highballed every money amount they've come in with. I don't necessarily think it's smart to give in to over-the-top demands for a network that has yet to really sink its teeth into the market.
But the fact remains that millions upon millions of NFL fans will not see these games until somebody capitulates. I highly doubt that many people (there will be some) are going to switch because of one channel. I sure as hell won't and most people I know are the same way.
Honestly, I think NFL Network is going to be the first to weaken. How many millions of viewers are they losing out on because of this little spat? 13 million on TWC and 20+ million on other assorted cable networks throughout the country? Could be more, I don't know the specifics.

Yep. Due to this little spat the consumer has to suffer. sucks... They'll eventually meet in the middle because cable companies are losing revenue on this too.

If the NFLN doesn't do something about Bryant Gumbel in the booth you won't have to worry about missing the games. He is atrocious to put it kindly.
