I don't really care about that. I think the Panthers could be a bigger threat than the Giants anyway.

Sorry to disagree But No way!!!!
I don't like the way we match up against the gints at all.
We own the panthers.

Or maybe, we could get Vick, and the eagles in the playoffs. THen we dont have to worry about either of those two teams.

Three NFC East backups (Romo, Campbell and Garcia) have beaten the Panthers.

Maybe Carolina can return the favor to New York?

If we get a officiating crew that doesn't allow the Giants massive holds on every single passing play they don't worry me that much.

I guess you weren't there when the panthers beat us in their way to the Super Bowl loss. But I do agree with that the Giants are a bigger threat. I just don't like to meet the same team for 3 times the same year, last time we played we were there to avenge our loss on MNF, next time will be there turn to bring everything they have. Plus Romo havne't looked that good against them.

Yea ,I remember ,But wasn't talking ancient history.
I was looking back at the last two times we met them.

As I said earlier, the gints match up against us better than The Panthers do.

Gints don't have anything left in the tank after last week.

they are running on fumes.

DeAngelo Williams will run wild on them.

DeAngelo Williams will run wild on them.Yeah, I think we may have broken the camel's back last weekend. The Giants will likely of 8-8 or 7-9.

The only silver lining to this scenerio is ,
"What if Chris Weinke (the back up) beats the gints.

PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:lmao:

You guys worry too much. Playing NY or CAR makes little difference. They are both a known entity to us. And this knowledge tells us is that we are better. Meeting them in our house should mean a trip to the next round of the playoffs.

Getting to and winning the Superbowl is going to be very hard. Hate to be the one to break the news but we are probably going to have to play 3 playoff games against 3 playoff caliber teams. One of these teams will actually be a Superbowl caliber team. All will have the ability to beat us.
As fans we're just going to have to be strong.;)

I am suprised so many people put the giants down.

At the start of the season I thought they had the most talented roster, they are proving to not be a good team however.

Having said that, I think the giants should win sunday but double digits. The panthers can not run the ball that is why the eagles beat them. Too much has been put on delhomme this season, he cant overcome that and then in turn he is putting the defense in terrible situations. This has been the reason of the panthers decline.

I think the giants will be one of the most dangerous teams in the playoffs, especially if they are a wild card because the pressure will be off and they will be on the road. I honestly think they could go and knock a team off for us we would struggle with like the bears or seahawks!

We may see the giants again, the matchups favor them everytime we play them also, we just dont stop tiki barber.

Did you guys see his post game PC after the loss to Philly? OMG !!

He was nearly in tears. He had ZERO confidence in himself anymore. You could smell it reeking from him in my own living room.

Rod on NFL network was even mentioning it.

The crying that is.

I bet this his a lot to do w/ the decision.

I do NOT want to see the Giants again this season. I do not believe anyone in the NFL (with the possible exception of the Chargers) matches up with the Cowboys as well as they do. Next year, without Tiki, things may be better.

Ouch.

This game should take the Panthers out of the playoff race.

I really want the Panthers to beat the NYG.
Its really entertaining to me to listen to them clamor and gripe and whine all week, every week for the last 4 weeks, be great to go for 5 weeks.

Seriously though, I really don't want to play the giants again this year. They match up better to us and have a better gameplan for us everytime. If we can go without having to play them again this year, then we won't ever have to play stupid Tiki again. That guy always gashes us. Without him, we really won't have to respect their running game next year. That'll change our plans dramatically IMO.

yeah I felt really bad for the guy. I thought he was going to cry.
Jake is a really good guy and one of the class acts of the league. Very likable. Just a few years ago, he was the "Romo" of the league tearing it up. Crazy.

As for the Giants, they are VERY talented on both sides of the ball. But when you have a bunch of HORRIBLE teammates...i.e. Plax, Shockey, Tiki, Arrington, and Strahan....when things are going well....they shut up, once trouble starts...its like trying to manage a bunch of convicts.

This sucks.

Might be the best thing to happen to the Panthers. Here in Charlotte most fans are wanting to see Weinke anyway.

The panthers can not run the ball that is why the eagles beat them.

the Panthers had 170+ yards from their RB on Monday night. (70 rushing and 100 receiving)

i think their loss had more to do with other factors rather than not being able to run the ball.

Heard earlier today there were rumors of him not practicing due to a partially torn ligament in his thumb on his throwing hand, which happened in the first quarter on Monday night.

Weinke took all the reps with the first team today. Last time Weinke saw any significant playing time, he was something like 1-15 as the starter, which is why they brought in Rodney Peete, and then Delhomme.

This is probably gonna make the wife happy, now that the Giants will have an easy game. The Panthers' O line is horrible, and NY will keep the running game in check. :(

It's his thumb. Torn something or other per espn news.
Believe me, the panthers won't even notice Jakes out. He's been "out" for weeks now.
