Just saw it.
Some of that stuff comes across as hokey until you see just how great the new stadium is gonna really be.
When they start off by mentioning the Great Pyramids to the Taj Mahal and then that leads to the new Cowboys stadium....I think I know why it took so long for the unveiling of the plans to the public now.
They had to produce that video that Hollywood would be proud of. Jeez!
It seemed like a mini-movie....I wasn't to sure I wouldn't see Tom Hanks in that thing.:D
After all the great buildup with everything it still comes thru with the stadium looking great. That's all you can hope for after all. Great job Jerry Jones!

Unbelievable. Truly a breathtaking stadium. What I wouldn't give to be in that lounge when the players come through for kickoff. Are you KIDDING ME??!!

Fun to see the entire ceremony on video, all 40-something minutes worth. Thanks for the link.
I heard Norm say that Costas appeared for free. Apparently the offer of Jerry's Jet and free champagne did the trick.

It's going to be a magnificient stadium. Just what the Cowboys deserve.
I found it interesting that Jerry already has corporate sponsorship built into the kids' areas, etc. I wonder how much Ford, Dr. Pepper, etal are kicking in to the cost of the stadium.

I heard Stephen Jones on with Norm today saying that the stadium is going to cost around a $billion. That is some serious cash and way over the original projection of $650 million. He said that it is possible that it could even exceed the $billion mark.

I think one of the greatest parts was seeing Irvin slapping hands with ALL of the ROH members and they truly seemed to enjoy it. As they say...He's got PERSONALITY!

How could they misspell Emmitt's name? Disgraceful.

As I said in the other thread. Everything looks great, except I do worry about the big jumbotron hanging over the field. If an accident were to happen.

Seems odd Emmitt has something better to do..
I thought the whole thing was kind of flakey but oh well. The stadium is beautiful no doubt. Would be even better if Jimmy was coaching the innagural game in it <agenda/off>

Its funny... out of all the things... the screen seems like it doesnt fit into the stadium concept... its like when you got your first big screen tv and it was a big old fat box.... and now they are flat panel and you can carry a 60" around.... the screen seems like it takes up too much from the over head view... I understand what Jerry wants out of it... it just seems off.
And then back to your concern... what holds it up? cables? a frame?
