If Jacksonville continues to take the gas pipe and doesn't make the playoffs he might be in trouble. Would anyone like his as our D coordinator? He was awesome at Carolina, and their D hasn't really been the same since Del Rio left! Anyway, no facts here, but just a wish list.

I think he'd actually be a great head coach for us. I don't think Jacksonville has as much talent as their success might show over the past 2 years, he just coaches them well.

I'm fine with it as long as he doesn't bring Campo with him. :)

Campo was an excellent D coordinator.
He's just not a good HC.

The only way Del Rio Comes in is if Zimmer gets a head coaching job.

Wont matter.
If he were to come here he would run Bill's defensive Scheme.

I'm guessing a 3-4 guy would replace Zimmer if he were to go.

Del Rio would be a very good DC for the Cowboys, and the comments about Dave Campo is ridiculous, he was an excellent coordinator and assistant coach for years in Dallas, some of you should go back and look at the defense stats with much lesser talent on the team....

I agree, but like Fisher, i would like to have del rio here as the head coach if he brings in a 3-4 specialist DC with him.

Why do you say this because Zimmer will never be fired?

Who ever the HC is I want him saying who is coordinators will be. In the end it all comes back to the HC. Under our last couple of HC Jerry picked the coordinators. I expect to see Parcells return next season and if he feels Zimmer is the man for the job well then that is on Parcells.

we dont have to have a 3-4 scheme here...we have the personnel to be a good 4-3 team with the right system

Independence Hig School has won 107 staright games and 7 straight State Championships. It is where Chris Leak went to High School. I doubt that he could make it there.

Perhaps I'm thinking of someone else, but I thought Del Rio left the Cowboys with a lot of ill will. I think he didn't like Jerry Jones at all and made his feelings known to the extent of singing the Beverly Hillbillies theme song and pissing Jerry off in the process. If he's the one who did it, He may not be able to work with JJ and JJ probably won't want him.
Anyone else remember that?
