Mick:

I just saw Ware and he was pretty fired up. He seemed a bit shocked. He saw it on the team bus coming back from a visit to a children's hospital.
I though Newman would make it. What does he have to do? I realize he has only one int, but you can't make int's if the other team is afraid of throwing at you. People also forget on the nickel that he goes into the slot on the nickel, which is about the toughest position on that defense. I think a case could have been made for Barber as well.
I wish when they did this voting stuff that everyone didn't look at numbers. Look how the guy is playing.
DeAngelo Hall had the second most votes at CB... and yes, he is a punk. You can't get lit up on national TV several times like he has this year and be a Pro Bowl player.
Roy had a lot of fan votes but is the back-up.
I thought Romo might be edged out by Michael Vick. His numbers are about the same as last year and he has 1000 yards rushing. Romo did deserve it. The top three in QB ratings made it. It hasn't been a good year for QB's in the NFC.
Think about these probowlers from Dallas. Romo was an undrafted FA, Ware came in from a small school and changed positions. McBriar is from Australia. Quite a mix.

Announcers can now gush "Pro Bowl Quarterback Tony Romo" and it won't hurt my feelings.

Ware means we drafted a pro bowler in 2005. Good!

Ware means we drafted a pro bowler in 2005. Good!I expect many more pro bowlers to emerge from that class later on.

Too bad for Newman ....

I was kind of hoping Ferguson would make it, too.

Newman continues to get the pro-bowl snub.

Congrats to Tony, Ware, & McBriar

I would have understood if Romo had not made it.

I honestly thought that Witten, Ferguson and Newman deserved it about as much as anybody. Happy to have who we got but I thought these three really deserved consideration.

I really wanted to see Terry Glenn, Jason Witten & Terrance Newman make it in addition to the 4 already who made it. We will have more in next year when we win the NFC and are the #1 seed & leading contender for SB; next year is our year to win.

Newman for sure, Ferguson would be have been good, but Witten just doesn't have the numbers or was not prominent almost first 7 games which really hurt him. So I don't think he deserved it that much this year.

But Newman is absolutely just plain blasphemy. Hall making is just beyond idiotic and moronic. Thats much bigger joke than Vick making it to Pro-bowl last year.

My one hope for Newman is that the media selects him All-Pro which he absolutely deserves. He has been getting some positive pub lately, so lets hope.

Go extra deep into the playoffs, trip to the Big Show, and continue dominance next year........and the Pro Bowl Players will double from this year.......seems to always come a year later to alot of guys that deserve it.........

I consider it also an Bledsoe 'effect"of a .500 season at mid-sched, and the blowout to the Saints right prior to voting didnt help matters.........

its alright.......keeps em' hungry

To me, the most curious omission from the Cowboys was that at least one offensive lineman didn't make the team... the Boys have the fourth best offense in football, and the third best scoring offense, and you can't do that without somebody doing some blocking...

I wouldn't be at all surprised to learn that Newman and one of the offensive linemen are alternates to the roster...

Austin If you're talking about what schools these players came from then Terry Glenn, came from Ohio State, and Marc Columbo, came from Boston College those are D-1A powerhouses not small schools.

I know it's out of character, but I would like to see Parcells lobby for Newman, even if it is after the fact. Personally, I think all that seperates the guy from Honolulu is some more pub.
There is no doubt he is the most consistent player on his defense and one of the best corners in football. It's a shame he isn't there again.

It's upsetting that Newman didn't make it, but I'd rather our guys play in the first week of February than the second week.
