View Full Version : Why are there people bashing Romo?

He is still a first year starter isn't he? He did get the team to the playoffs?

Granted his level of play has dipped...but it isn't all on him.

I have yet to jump on his bandwagon, but I'm trying to understand why so many here trash him so much. He is basically a rookie. He has the tools to be great. He also has heart.

I thought this season was over when Bledsoe was benched. But the one thing that has kept this season from outright making me crazy is Romo.

I hope he succeeds in the league.

I don't get it. He may be the only QB in the league that could have made that play in the endzone. he led two FANTASTIC 4th quarter drives and was willing to sacrifice his body to get the win. He came up one yard short of being a hero.

Because any game in which your QB fumbles the ball 4 times he deserves to get some garbage tossed his way.

Because Romo couldn't generate a pass rush.....or cover Furrey or Williams or the other Williams...

He was the only reason it wasnt a blowout

He was part of the reason it almost became one.

We can thank the defense for that

The offense/special teams didn't help with giving the Lions 4 drives starting inside our 40.

The defense sucked, but they definitely weren't alone.

They have forgotten how bad Bledsoe sucked.

me neither.Romo's our QB for 2007 and beyond and he'll be a damn good one, too.

I do find it funny the QB who saved the season is quick to get blamed when our underacheiving D has given up 132 points in the last four games (33 points per game in the last 4).........but yeah, it's Romo's fault....please.

So, because he might be the future QB no one is allowed to say he had a bad game when he did?

he did, but maybe he would've had a better game if we weren't forced to be one demensional because our D couldn't stop the freakin worst team in the NFC from scoring.

Because if Bled were starting and had the exact same game you'd be bashing him. Romo is being panned (not bashed) today because he was a big part of the problem, okay?

I still believe in Romo, yes he made some mistakes, but give the guy a break this is is first year as a starter. He lead this team to 31 points which should have won any game, problem is the defense gave up 39

Look..the fact is..he lost that game for us.

But, I think he can be a good QB for us.

The fact is that he may have the moxie to play in the NFL, but he lacks the talent.

I dont hate the kid, but his limitations place him somewhere behind Quincy Carter in ability to play in the league.

Loving Bledsoe is one thing, but lay off the drugs

our defense had a little more to do with giving up 39 points than romo.

i've seen a few focus on romo and putting the blame of the loss at his feet. that's what most people are saying "no" to, not that romo didn't have his best game yesterday.

amazing people can't tell the difference and must take things to their utmost extreme all the time.

this is why you see people get defensive about romo.

romo did NOT lose teh game for us. he got us in the lead THREE TIMES and each time the defense gave it right back up.

it was a team loss. period.

it's pretty obvious homer here is just about reaction and saying whatever numbnutt thing that comes into his mind to get it.

he's one the mods should put a silent ban on. let him post, but no one ever sees his garbage. :laugh2:

Exactly. I am a big romo fan and he did show some good things yesterday but don't just ignore the fact that he dropped the ball 2 times with out even being touched. Its something he needs to fix, he is a rookie...he will....but in the meantime we can still say that his 4 fumbles were a problems and costly.
