Use that first #1 pick on him. He's an absolute beast. I'd love it if he was suiting up Sunday for the Cowboys. I dont want a WR anymore (although I reserve the right to change my mind). Big, strong, fast, excellent tackler, NFL bloodlines, and shuts people down. Give em to me!!!!!

I'd rather have Cromartie (sp?). 6'3", 200 lbs, fast, fluid hips, ball hawk... the kid's a gamer. I think he's only a sophomore though. Or is he a Junior?

I doubt we go CB in 1, but another to watch is Corey Webster of LSU. Plays big in big games. Great size and speed.

I kinda agree with Hos, I think if Hunter/Powell/Thornton dont show anything that we'll definitely pony up for some free agent next yr

Corey Webster I like, and he's being schooled by Nick Saban which is a good thing, Webster kinda had an off game last week though vs OSU...Rolle looked good, but he really appeared to be playing more of a safety role last night...I didnt see him doing alot of covering of WR's...

course maybe thats not such a bad thing, we need a safety. I think Woodson retires after this season for sure. Put me down for being pro-Thomas Davis as well...

I also like Marlin Jackson from Michigan. I prefer DT or DE right now. That could change.

Hos at this point who are the DE & DT to be watching on Saturdays?

You mentioned a couple.......would you be so kind as to name a few more.

In fact that could possibly be a good topic for a "sticky" thread......."Who to watch Today"

As a Maryland fan, I'll throw Shawne Merriman's name in the hat. Kid is an athletic freak, and is a junior this year. Really strong and really fast. His name will be mentioned as a possible first round pick by the end of this year. He's up to 265 pounds, and may actually be quicker than before. And he's as good of a person (read the part about organizing the coat drive toward the bottom) as he is a player.

http://umterps.collegesports.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/merriman_shawne00.html

On Merriman : Third-year player with tremendous physical skills ... set to start at one defensive end position after playing the hybrid “Leo” position last year … has great size and athleticism … a big hitter … an honors candidate who was one of the best pass rushers in the league last year … has shown flashes of greatness the last two years … an Iron Terp the last two years who posted a 38 1/2-inch vertical jump, a 385-pound bench and a 590-pound squat on testing day … 41 1/2-inch vertical jump from 2003 was the best ever by a Maryland defensive lineman.

2003 (Sophomore): Played in all 13 games, starting five ... battled injuries for much of the season but never missed a game ... tied for second in the ACC and led the team with 8.5 sacks ... tied for fifth on the team with 55 tackles (40 solo) ... also recorded 9.5 TFLs, a team-high 13 QB hurries and two fumble recoveries while batting down three passes ... (at WFU) ...recorded six tackles (three solo) with one sack and a PBU ... showed good awareness as he contained and then collapsed on Cory Randolph for a sack of four yards in the third quarter ... PBU came on a fourth-and-four play in the fourth quarter ... (at NCSU) ... had four tackles (three solo), one QB hurry and one sack for two yards ... got through the defense in the third quarter and used his agility to take down a scrambling Philip Rivers for a loss of two yards ... (vs. UVa) ... finished with four tackles (two solo) and one QB hurry ... pressured Matt Schaub on a third-and-13 in the third quarter, forcing him to throw the ball away and the Cavaliers to punt ... (vs. UNC) ... had three tackles (two solo) ... combined with Kevin Eli on a sack as they collapsed on the pocket to hit the Tar Heel quarterback for a loss of two yards ... (at GT) ...recorded two tackles (one solo) and led the Terps with three QB hurries ... one of his QB hurries came as he chased Reggie Ball to the sidelines, forcing him to throw the ball away on a third-and-seven, forcing a Yellow Jacket punt ... (vs. Duke) ... recorded four solo tackles ... recovered a fumble using his speed to beat the quarterback to the loose ball ... fumble recovery was the first of his career ... made a heads-up play, sacking the Duke quarterback for a loss of 10 yards as he was not fooled on play-action ... (vs. CU) ... had an impressive showing in his first start of the season ... finished with six tackles (four solo) and two sacks ... was in constant pursuit of the quarterback throughout the game with two sacks for 20 yards and four QB hurries, both team-highs ... added one PBU in the second quarter as he jumped to deflect a pass while rushing the QB ... (vs. WVU) ... finished with five tackles (four solo) ... had a big sack for a loss of four yards in the third quarter by speeding through the left side of the line to get Rasheed Marshall ... (at FSU) ... had four tackles (three solo) ... caught Chris Rix from behind to record a sack for a loss of 12 yards in the third quarter.

Another DT I would add is Haloti Ngata from Oregon. The guy is a freak of nature and was the best high school player I've ever seen with my own eyes.

Harris looked pretty good, but they have a DE (who's name espcapes me right now) who has the makings of a pretty dominant guy, he had a greta game..I think he's only a SOPH though

I'm a UGA guy but am not big on Pollack...he is more of an overachiver, ultra high motor type...I would spend a 2nd on him but would be very hesitant to spend either of our 1's on him...the UGA player I'd most want right now is FS/SS Thomas Davis
