Here in Baton Rouge, we are about 70 miles from New Orleans, so we usually have to watch sold out Saints home games on regular TV. However, earlier this week, they threatened to show the Falcons vs. Niners as the late afternoon game. I actually called Fox44 (WGMB) and asked them what the deal was. The Cowboys vs. Vikings game is supposed to be nationally televised to all markets that do not have a local team playing the late afternoon game.

The Saints play at 12 noon, so I asked them why we have to watch the Falcons. We are not in the local market for either the Falcons or the Niners. The programming guy I spoke with said he would look into it. I checked last night and found that they did change the afternoon game to the Cowboys vs. Vikings.

The really funny thing is that the Saints game is blacked out here at 12 noon because they didn't sell out the Superdome. So we get to watch the Bucs vs. Redskins as the early game.

I would get Sunday Ticket to avoid this issue altogether, but I have been here long enough to know that the interest in the Saints goes down when the Cowboys start winning, and they eventually air almost all Cowboys games on regular TV.

The Saints game is blacked out, and the Cowboys are going to be on TV over here. Tom Benson must be really ticked off right about now...LOL!

Thats hilarious...they are always talking about what great fans they are and cant even sell out a home opener when most of the media is predicting them to make a playoff run...LOL

The problem with the Saints is that they have no history to speak of. They have one playoff win in their 37 year history to brag about, and they almost lost that particular game were it not for an Az Hakim fumble on a kickoff that was recovered by the Saints.

The Saints have started giving away season tickets at $150 for 10 games (2 preseason games, plus 8 home games). These tickets are nosebleed, but gets the average Joe into the game. They still can't sell out the dome with these cheap prices...pretty pathetic considering the Cowboys season tickets start at $300 for 10 games, twice the price, and they still manage to sell out.

Football fans here are loyal to only one team, and that is LSU. When the Cowboys start winning, the little blue star starts showing up on folks that I thought were Saints fans.

The Saints are probably the most likely franchise to move to L.A. They need a change. Rumor has it that the Superdome is built on an old burial ground, and this is the reason for their bad luck. Maybe moving to L.A. would do them some good.

Here in Quebec, they show what ever team from NY is playing, so we will have those dawn Giants instead of my Boys...

A perfect day would be:

Dallas win
Eagles lose
Washington lose
Buffalo lose

I know I'm dreaming, but that would be so nice.

gotta throw in a Packers loss Monday night...the great Mike Vick having an awful game vs SF and see the Steelers and Raiders kill each other and end in a 0-0 tie

A Cowboys win is obviously at the top of my wish list for today, but an Eagles loss is second.

I would pay to watch Donovan McNabb, Terrell Owens, and Andy Reid duking it out on the sidelines. I predict that this might happen by the end of today's game.

I'll watch N.O. vs. Seattle for the most part in the early game (should be a good fantasy match-up and I have several players from both teams), though I'll also flip back and forth among the other games.

Goes without saying which of the late games I'll be watching.

Oakland vs. Pittsburgh and Arizona vs. St. Louis are the early games. Of course the 'Boys are the late game. Can you believe we get to see Arizona? Good grief what a way to start the season.

Is it 3:00 yet??????
