Is it me or does it seem like ever since we made Jeffcoat our DL coach, we haven't been able to pressure/sack the QB consistently. I know there's loyalty to Jeffcoat as a former player, but where do you draw the line when there is a lack of results? We didn't give any such quarter to Bill Bates as a secondary/special teams coach. At some point, you have to look at coaching and not just the players. I'm sure there are many excellent DL coaches out there in the NFL or NCAA, who would love to be the DL coach of the Dallas Cowboys.
Do you think a different DL coach could make any difference?
I do..

No, I think we overestimate the talent on our defensive line each year. We lack a defensive end who is capable of rushing the passer. We bring in guys like Wiley who are finished but we expect them to be the player they once was. At some point, we have to admit that we lack some serious talent on our defensive line instead of thinking we have some secret aces on DL each year.

It's been so long since we have had DL that could pressure the QB I can't even remember when we could..........
What gets me we keep failing to do anything about it. The CB's will continue to look bad until we get a couple of DLinemen that can get to the QB.....and you can put that in the bank. :(

I agree but at same time our DB's cant play the ball for s**t and it is a team effort. We need both to play better and win
