you know i was watching the highlights on SC. and lookin at the stats bascially it aint that bad. We had 350+ yards passing, no INT's we had a good decent rushing performance. We had 2 guys with 100+ receiving. I mean at look we did what we coulnt do the past 5 meetings hold Randy Moss to under 50 yards. We also held Dante to under 300 yards. We made evrybody else beat us and they did. Granted yes we coulda scored alot more on offense, but costly turnovers, and fumbles cost us. Lee looked great and overall we did a damn good job. Just everything fell apart in the end. Next game we'll get better and then we're on our way. EDIT: EG 8 for 25 yeards. last i rember that was wat 3.1/2 yards per carry, differnce that waht he was suppose to get lee averaged 7 yards a carry we went against the number 1 offense lets' not get down, remember we lost to a vickless falcons last year, adn we still ended in the playoffs. WE aint done yet.

The defense concerns me. I'm not one screaming that it's the end of the world, but some of our questions weren't exactly answered.

There are some positive things to come out of this game, but I was more impressed with the Vikings.

I.m with you,the defense could be a concern but remember we were playing the Vikings, one of the most potent offenses in the league. It should get much better next week and as the season goes on.

To have that many passing yards and only one TD......great.

To have two guys over 100 yards and no TD's....great.

VT seems to be a 1 TD/game QB and that's about it. We need a vet QB brought in quick. We go as far as VT takes us w/o a vet backup here. Sad, poor planning by BP.

More sad and poor-planning is the CB situation. Plenty of guys were out there, but we didn't want to "overpay.".

Is it "over-paying" when it's the going rate? Not at all.

As someone else mentioned in another thread, we simply don't match up very well against the Vikings. Also, I consider the Vikings to be a playoff contender this year (I don't know why, I just get that feeling about them... I like Mike Tice and I think he will do a great job in Minny). This game was a shootout and it was pretty much anyone's game until the fumble in the 4th qtr of course. So although in the end judging from the final score it looked like a blowout, I thought we managed to hang with the Vikes before the turnover. I'd say we have a much better chance against the Browns next week.

look at it this way vinny had the chance to throw more TD's cals didnt go our way missed throws and costly tournovers. Its' not all vinny's fault. How can u say hes worth 1 td a game when he's only played one game. when is the last time we had not one but TWO WR with 100+ recieving we did damn good on offense and we can only get better as we start to gel. And i feel the same about the defense. We were up against the number 1 offense with a chip on it's shoulder. We wernt suppose to win and we didnt. have faith my freind have faith

Yes, i wish we had a proven veteran CB but not for the asking price, i rather live with Hunter Thorton Reeves and Nathan Jones because this team ain't ready to win a Super Bowl. We already make a mistake for over-paying for Joey Galloway, lets not make it a habit. Cleary, most people can see the team is built for the future in 2-3 years.
