I am quite sure ESPN and ESPN2 will go live to hsi every at bat tonight.
I hope he gets #700 so we can get past these milestone interruptions. I now return you to your regularly scheduled sports talk. Or lack thereof.

Well, he got it. It would be kind of fitting if he passed Ruth on April 8, 2005.
That's the date when Hank did it.
and what a better team to do it against

If he gets his share of pitches the remainder of this year and early next, he's got half a chance. 14 or 15 games left this year, and probably 5 or 6 by the 8th next year.
Amazing any way you look at it. I've seen many great players in the time I've followed baseball, but Bonds transcends great. He'll always have the shadow of steroids hanging over him, but true or not, you just can't discount some of the things he's done, and not all of it is strength related. He's always had that quick, compact, powerful swing, strong wrists, and one of the best hitting eyes out there. He's gotten more disciplined as he's matured as well.
He's not one of my favorite players, but I can give credit where it's due. The man can hit a baseball, as well as almost anyone ever.
