Mickey:
Julius out probably 8 weeks, post Thanksgiving
Dallas may put him on IR since he can only play in last 5 games in order to open a roster spot
Reshard Lee will likely be the feature back
It happened on the 4th and 2 play... Ek hit him in the back with his helmet in an unprotected area
He did not make any of the coaches aware that he was hurt
BP says he is not concerned about the running game
In the first two games we have 847 yards. It is the most in the first two games since 1985
They had 817 yards in 1995 season

IMO he should be. He has the experience and the durability. If he's not getting it done, we have a couple change of pace backs. It's all good. All around the league, significant players are dropping like flies. It happens.

At least we have backups. If Emmitt had gone down for long stretches in his prime, the history of the Cowboys would have been much different.

This really sucks.
Jones is a nice shifty runner and losing him really will hurt.
I am confident in Lee though. He hits the hole hard and makes people miss. I would not like the idea of Jones on the IR, we might need a fresh back late in the season.

Someone else brought up Ran Carthon. I wouldn't be opposed to putting him on the active duty roster if JJ goes on IR. We need to see if he has a little something as well. I know that the Colt fans were pretty pissed that Ran wasn't on the regular roster.

I wouldn't either. It would be interesting to see what this kid could do.
If I'm not mistaken he's more of a power runner.......it would be interesting.
Papa had better be teaching him the O......24 hours a day. ;)

You're correct. He's more in the mold of an Eddie George - strong upright runner who can catch and block . He just doesn't have George's size yet.

Whoa, I completely forgot we picked up Ran Carthon. If JJ ends up on IR, I wouldn't mind seeing if the kids got anything.

I'll trade lower property taxes and cheaper housing for more humidity and a average youth football complex. :D
Really, they have a lot of nice things here. Several top notch athletic facilities, parks, etc...
