up here in DC, we have a large Cowboy fanbase mainly due to the rivalry i guess (even my own brother is a Cowboy fan). But how big is the Skins fanbase down there in Dallas?????
I'm asking cause i heard it's vice-versa.

I knew a couple of 'skin fans back in Beaumont - an hour east of Houston. I think that you may have had more fans back when Washington was doing really well. The Cowboy haters tend to support whoever we have the most trouble with.

Actually I'm from Portland Oregon, but I imagine there are lots of skins fans around the whole US. I specifically like them BBQ flavor. :D

Well...you wouldn't know it from their attendance at the game here last year...
They had a huge fan base at the stadium.

I can only personally attest to the existence of one Redskins fan in Texas. And he's the head of our building security so I cut him some slack.

Personally, I kinda treat area skins fans, or any other team's fans for that mater, the same way I do the bums on street corners holding cardboard "will work for food" signs...
I flip 'em the bird, and threaten to beat the snot out of 'em if they get too close to my car!

I saw a guy wearing a portis jersey in the mall the other day. I did my best to make him feel uncomfortable. He told me, "This is the skins year". I will not post my response. :D He is the first person in a long time I have seen in skins gear. Not many fans down here in SA.

I've seen very few Redskins fans in Texas. I'm sure that there are some, and I would imagine that they are mostly transplants from VA, MD, WV, etc.

I just found out a few weeks ago the security guard in my building was a skins fan. I guess he was finally feeling confident enough in his team to let others know.
Remember when Tampa started to get good, then all the sudden they had a ton of fans that had been “fans for years”.
I see that happening with the skins now. People are starting to admit to being a skins fan (in the Dallas area) due to the perceived improvement of the team. However, after that Giant’s game, they may want to go back into the closet a bit longer.

I was at the game in Texas Stadium last year, and there were a lot of skins fans there, in fact I was suprised to see so many.

.
Just like those same "fans for years" who came out in St Louis Rams jerseys a few years back. I haven't seen one in quite awhile ... seems like they went back to the same place they were all throughout the 90's. :D

The large attendance by skins fans is mostly due to them traveling from DC to see the game. The rivalry is much bigger in their eyes than it is in the cowboys. Even over at extreme skins a couple of posters have called this game their super bowl.
It is truly amazing how many cowboy fans live in DC. I did a month long survey once last year to prove a point to some of my coworkers of how much cowboy paraphanelia versus redskins paraphenalia you would see on the streets of DC on any given day. during that month, 60% cowboys versus 40% redskins and this was around march-april after Gibbs announced his comeback. Even in my office the cowboy fans outnumber the Redskins fans 2-1.

Skins fans only live on the East Coast. Sure, you'll find a few here and there but most of the remaining ones in Texas have been shot. ;) Seriously though, you won't find many teams like the Cowboys that have huge amounts of fans in "foreign lands." As someone who was born and raised in Texas, I can assure you it's not vice-versa, there are not a lot of Skins fans in Texas.

I knew one guy in college that was a Skins fan, he wasn't much of one though, he'd never heard of Sonny Jugenson, Billy Kilmer or George Allen.
