Is it ok to leave it connected to the charger 24/7?

Look at your charger and your battery- as long as they are not really warm to the touch there is no problem. I only leave it on when I want to make sure the charge is complete- or when I am using the laptop. Its probably best that you do not leave it plugged in 24/7.

I haven't taken my laptop anywhere yet so, there has been no need for me to unplug it.

What does the manufacterer say about it? They are usually pretty specific about that.
