The first five minutes of that conference championship game were heartbreaking. However, I was never so proud of our team as I was at the way they played the rest of that game. They never gave up. Emmitt was running as hard as he could. They believed they could win that game and I started to believe it too.

We were the better team, but bad breaks early in the game doomed us.

Another great season with a heartbreaking playoff loss. But like many others, I was thrilled with the effort shown by the Cowboys in that playoff loss. I started to believe they could win as well, given the effort and heart they showed. I would like to see that game on the NFL network sometime.

I can't even begin to explain how badly I hated the hiring of Barry Switzer. It is the single worst day of my life as a Cowboys fan. No day is darker for me. It took me a long time to get over being mad at Jerry Jones for this hiring. In fact I didn't even begin to get over it until the day Michael Irvin got hurt and Jerry went with him in the ambulance.

I learned to respect Jerry that day more than I had to that point. That is how much I dislike Barry Switzer. I knew the team would start a downward spiral the day he was hired.

I honestly believe if Jimmy had still been at the helm we'd have won 4 in a row, maybe 5. The talent on these early 90's teams was unreal and one of the great evidences of it was the NFC Championship loss to the 49ers. If you could ever be impressed with a loss it has to be that one. The 49ers got spotted 21 points and then Troy Aikman and company became a well oiled machine.

The early 90's team was truly a joy to watch play football. The Offensive Line may have been the most dominant unit I have ever seen and that includes the Rams O-Line that blocked for Dickerson.

1994 for me, was about what might have been. I focused more than ever on just enjoying the team because I detested the Coach, and at this time, Jerry Jones as well.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who hated Switzer. Every time they showed him on the sidelines I cringed and prayed he didn't do anything stupid like touch a ref in the NFC Championship game.

I hated all 3 of the HCs that followed Jimmy: Switzer, Chan Gailey, and Dave Campo. None of them were worth squat.

The Cowboys had the rare chance of winning 4 Super Bowls in a row. That is what makes the 94 NFC Championship loss so hard to take. I agree, I was never more proud of the Cowboys than how hard they fought in that game. Troy was unbelievable in the second half completing pass after pass.I think he ended up with 380 yards or more. Irvin had 11 or 12 catches. I believe that if the refs would have called pass interference Deion, that game would have ended up a Cowboys win. Dallas would have been 1st and goal with a shot to cut the lead to 3 points with plenty of time left. Our defence only allowed the 49ers 10 points the whole second half. It was such a bogus non-call. Deion raped Irvin on the play. I remember seeing video of Irvin and Sanders going over that play during one of the first practices Deion had as a Cowboy the next season. Except for the first 5 minutes, Dallas completely owned San Fran that day.

Switzer was a joke as a head coach. I hated seeing him hold the Lombardy trophy at the end of SB XXX. That should have been Jimmy not him. If Jerry could have just kept his ego in check.........grrrrrr!!!!!
