Cowboys up 21-10, with 4:45 left in the game and Washington has zero timeouts. This is a game that should go in the books without a sweat¡*

1. Washington scores in 2 plays, covering 64 yards

2. Washington scores in 15 seconds

3. Washington converts the 2-point conversion, putting them within a FG

4. False Start on Flozell Adams, thus stopping the clock.

5. With 21 seconds left in the game, Washington drives 55 yards¡*

¡*if Thrash was one foot closer to the sideline, it¡¯s a FG attempt.

¡*if there was 7 more seconds on the clock, it¡¯s a QB spike, then FG attempt.

¡*if Washington had one more Timeout, it¡¯s a FG attempt and maybe one try for a TD.

All of you know that great teams put the nails in the coffin. We made some blunders and let Washington steal a hard fought win from us.

My questions are:

1. Is this sloppy finish typical of our team, or can it be attributed to just one of those wacky Monday Night Football rivalry games? Remember the Monday Night doozy against Philadelphia when Switzer was still coach? The Eagles muffed the FG attempt in Texas Stadium to end the game.

2. Can BP get this team to improve, to finish games strongly by season¡¯s end, or will this continue in Week 17?
