He is a 3 technique DT, like laroi glover and warren sap. Even though that is a 1 gap technique, you are still often playing on the 0 or 1 gap, not the 3 gap.

All this talk of what D a player is suited for is far less important than the player's ability to stay on the field and his motivation. I'd far rather have a guy who had a good motor and went all out than a guy who "fits."

He's broken. Why else the Colts who had a crappy run defense release a guy who was a pro bowler and is still young.

He just failed a physical last week.

The guy is 30

He didn't pass a physical

I don't think it had to do with his health as much as it did with his attitude. The Colts and Simon just did not get along for some reason.

From what I understand he has some kind of "Mystery" Illness. No one has ever said what kind of illness it was so I would be a little nervous.

I can see the Redskins going after him. And Rice.

Then we get to hear how they've got a great secondary and upgraded it immensily along with their new, pass rushing DL of Griffin/Simon on the interior and Rice/Carter off the edges.

They'll be swearing they have the best defense in the NFL.

coastal types are pretty loose all around. Except those along the Miss and florida coasts. And up through Va.

that is so totally wrong -- much of the west coast is rural and very conservative.

He doesn't have the heart to play. Not to mention he's fat, lazy and always injured. He will never play in the NFL again IMO.
