Yeah I wanted to watch that game today but it isn't showing on DirecTV. I'm gonna watch him play as much as I can this year cuz he just may be a cowboys next year. :D

Assuming they all come out, yes....All are Jrs.

Tashard Choice is another good RB.

For sure!! Very few talk about him, but he's coming off a great year and a big game against ND(169-2 rushing) and if he stays healthy he'll lead the Conf in rushing. He's flying under the radar right now, but by combine time he'll be well known.

Plus Jonathan Stewart of Oregon has to be considered in any top list of RBs that could go high next spring.

That's what they said about Blair Thomas(#2 overall) in 1990. Ray Rice could be the next Emmitt and Slaton could be the next Dorsett. Even though i want DMac, i wouldn't turn my nose up at the other top backs, if they come out.

i like slaton and rice(in that order) but would just rather have dmac. this guy reminds me of LT everytime i see him play. LT will go down atleast stat wise as the greatest rb to ever play barring injury

I agree. McFadden is an exciting player.

But I think he reminds me more of Reggie Bush....the versatility.

I guess i don't see LT in him. LT is 4 inches shorter and has a much more compact style. . To me DMac with his 6-2 inch frame(and he'll probably end up being 220 some day) and his upright style reminds me of Larry Johnson.

If you want a Bush next year, Slaton is your man.

If we have a chance to draft McFadden, I'd rather trade down and try to improve our draft status for the year after and maybe even the year after that.

It's also such a deep RB class that either Slaton, Rice, or Felix Jones later in the first would be a great consolation prize.

Here would be my dream 1st rd. situation:
We have the #1 overall which we trade to a team w/ a top 3 or 4 pick who wants to trade up to get Brohm.
When it comes our time to pick and McFadden is still available, we trade down again to a team desperate to grab McFadden. We then take either Jones or Slaton later in the 1st.

If we get the #1 pick and trade down to #3-4 and DMac is still on the board and we trade down AGAIN, i will drive to Dallas a OFF Jerry.

After watching GT's Tashard Choice today, I respectfully add him to the list...

This is a RB that you don't want Denver to get. This kid gets the concept of being a RB...

College RB's rarely overly impress me... Choice overly impressed me today...

I was much more impressed with GTech's OL. Choice had some HUGE lanes to run through today.

Yes he did... but he also patiently awaited blocks and has really good vision and power. He really knows when to make his move...

I'm not saying he is the best RB in college football, I am saying he knows how to play the position... well...

This GT team is a team to watch...

If the QB can get his throws down, they could make some waves...

No doubt. He's an extremely patient runner. I don't think he's an overly Explosive RB, but he's strong, has decent speed, great vision, and good patience.

I don't know if GTech was really good today or if ND just sucked. Probably a bit of both.

This is gonna be a long year for ND fans. :bang2:

Just wondering why Felix Jones doesn't get more credit? He puts up big numbers and seems to break a ton of long runs (7.6 ypc last season). He had a 44 yard TD run and a 90 yard kick return TD. I saw that he is 6 feet 200 pounds so he isn't too small. What is keeping this guy from being seen as a great player?

I'm w/ you. And if they both make themselves eligible this year, I wouldn't be surprised to see a Cadillac Williams / Ronnie Brown situation all over again.

True, but how long will he keep it up. He could break down and never be the same at any time. 416 carries will do that to you.

I love Mcfadden and Slaton.

I don't see any L.T. in Mcfadden though, I actually can't say I have ever seen a style quite like his, he definately has the ability to make quick sudden cuts, and more impressively the suttle moves to avoid tackles at full speed, but his speed is on a different level, it's like he's a friggin rocket sometimes. He does remind me a little of a young Bo Jackson, but much shiftier IMO.

Slaton on the other hand reminds me alot of L.T. I'm not sure even L.T. has this guys jukes. His abilty to stop on a dime, cut, and then accellerate in a blink is out of this world, Sandersesque, except he aint dancing, he's full speed ahead.

I was shocked to see how thick Slaton is built, I was concerned he was a little light, but after seeing him in a piece recently I am really impressed, he's built like a pitt bull, a guy as thick and muscular as Slaton is should not be able to move like that.

I dunno. Knowing the huge Arkansas fan that Jerry is, I can't see us passing up McFadden if he's sitting there when we pick. I just can't see it. In most cases Arkansas homerism would be a bad thing come draft time, but in this case? Man, I can't really see that as a bad thing. As much as the two back system has become more common, I'd still like to have the one superstar workhorse back. I miss Emmitt.
