The classic "bend until you break" defense.

There will be 6 teams that regret not taking Peterson. People who said Calvin Johnson was the best player in the draft will be laughed at.

His defense is going to be on the field alot, because that atlanta offense is putrid.

Maybe Atlanta fans should start a GROZ chapter.

Actually Zimmer's defense only allowed 302 yards and 10 points. Minnesota's other 14 points came off of Harrington's 2 interceptions that were returned for touchdowns.

I'm no fan of Zimmer but not exactly his fault.

14 points came off the Def

7 of the other points came from a single play, that was just horrid play by the players, no one even touched the guy.

so in reality they gave up 3 points and about 250 yards.

I'm no fan of Zimmer but not exactly his fault. That's on 50 plays. They gave up an average of 6 yards per play. Minnesota only had 8 drives.

You're not going to run up much yardage when you're leading the entire game.

yeah, against a team with no talent at WR and a QB who's as lost as can be

wait till the real offenses pay Zimmy a visit

You're not going to run up much yardage when you're leading the entire game.Yes and they were able to grind it away because they got the lead early (Harrington's first INT) and Atlanta's Offense posed no threat to them whatsoever.

Once again, I'm no fan of Zimmer but his defense was not the reason they lost today.

The first of many teams that Adrian Peterson will run through.

Zimmer defense today...no sacks (against a deer in the headlights QB who had no clue)...one fluke turnover (int off a ball that bounced 20-30 yds downfield) and gave up about 140 yds rushing when they knew thats all the other team could do

classic Zimmer

For a team that's just griding it away and running clock off, they sure did get a lot of yardage. Not really. 300 yards ain't a hell of a lot to write home about, even if you are grinding the clock.

Not really. 300 yards ain't a hell of a lot to write home about, even if you are grinding the clock.Uhh...ok. His team had horrible field position all day, because they couldn't stop a team that was intent on running it down their throat when they had the lead.

Uhh...ok. His team had horrible field position all day, because they couldn't stop a team that was intent on running it down their throat when they had the lead......and yet if Harrington and the Offense play even a decent game (by NFL Standards), the field position battle is a non-issue and Atlanta might actually make a run at winning the game instead of settling for one mere 45 yard field goal.

They sucked at both offense and defense. That's why it was 24-3 against a non-playoff team.

Peterson slid because of health concerns. No one has ever questioned his talent. His upright running style and injury problems are the only thing that might hold him back.

I would not be suprised if Atlanta's D is statistically ahead of ours at the end of the season, even if their defensive players weren't personally selected by a football god like Bill Parcells and as such are far less talented.

Big props to the voice of reason. I thought Peterson was the 2nd best player to Detroit's WR only due to the injury questions. Frankly without the injury questions, I like him better than the guy NO took 1st overall last season.

For posters to totally disregard Peterson's presence in the game or the good performance of Atlanta's D for the sole reason that they want an excuse to continue to smear Zimmer for Parcell's lame schemes is just pathetic. IMO.

looks like atlanta's defense wore down late. They held Jacksonville to 3 points through 3 periods and then gave up 10 in the final quarter. Shame Atlanta doesn't have an offense as good as ours.
