I live in the NFC East part of the country and found difficulty getting into the game last night between the Ravens and Bengals. It's probably because those two teams have nothing to do with the NFC standings. I watched a little but it wasn't like it was if the Bears was playing the Saints on Monday Night. Anyone else react this way toward AFC Games??

Even moreso than Bengals/Ravens, I'd like to know who selected Cardinals/49ers as the MNF showcase game on opening weekend. That was the best matchup to choose from this week? Why not Bears/Chargers or Patriots/Jets?

It would have made more sense to just have one game, bears at chargers

Because FOX probably made a stand in wanting to keep the Bears/Chargers game.

I can understand FOX's position if this is true, but unlike NBC's SNF (which can choose games down the stretch, to a point) doesn't the NFL decide the schedules for MNF before the season? And if so, why was this chosen as the opening weekend MNF game?

because for some reason the media think the 49ers will be a playoff team this year

And the Cardinals are bound to be one since they've been a sleeper team every year since the late 90s.

I actually enjoyed watching both games.

Ravens/Bengals because of Ravens' defense and Bengals offense (Carson, Ocho Cinco and House-alphabet)

Cards/49ers were interesting because of both young QBs, Cards WRs, Gore and to see the Mike Singletary's defense.

I actually enjoyed the Bengals/Ravens game and found my self even rooting for the Bengals. I cant stand the Ravens so it wasn't that hard to. I also find Chand Johnson to be quite entertaining and a hell of an athlete. His Touchdown celebration was a bit of a letdown though, partly because it as so delayed..ruining it's effect. If he had done the same thing in the endzone with the coat and all it would of been better. Would of made for one big ol' fine though.
