Eli Manning (shoulder) took about half the first-team snaps during the non-media portion of Giants practice Friday. Both the Newark Star-Ledger and New York Daily News expect Manning to start in Week 2.

Coach Tom Coughlin would only confirm Eli as being a game-time decision, and we'd still avoid him against a tough Packers defense, but it's pretty apparent that Manning has progressed well since being hurt last week. Sep. 14 - 2:25 pm et

Almost a must win for the Giants...they are already two games behind us and one game behind the Skins.

Good... let Coughlin finish destroying that organization when Tiki is out for the year with a major injury.

Bad move.

Manning has a bruised shoulder not separated as 1st reported. I expect he will play.

this is a mistake to me, yea it may not hurt, but what happens when he gets slammed right back on the shoulder, and gets put out for 7-8 weeks. Then what?

Let the guy heal. Greenbay is not that good. If anything, go down now, get your guys healthy and make a run late. The NFC is not that strong, if you can win a couple of games, you will be alive at the end of the season

as has been pointed out it wasnt a seperated shoulder simply bruised and you cant really play football afraid of getting injured. If he can throw accurately like he was against us i would hope he would want to play.

Jacob Rogers anyone?

I have seen QB's play with broken ribs when the protection of QB's did not exsist. If he has a bruised shoulder he can play and more important if he feels he should be out there then he should.
