Felix Jones and McFadden both ran for more than 1,000 yards last year. If Jones was on another team, he would be the number one RB. Many people consider them to be the best one-two RB duo in college football.

Jones, just like McFadden, may come out early too.

Jones would benifit by staying and becoming the man next year but DMac has nothing left to prove. Backs have only so many carries in their career and if i were DMac it wouldn't even be a question, i'd come out, be the #1 or #2 pick and collect my 60 million.

DARREN MCFADDEN

RB | Arkansas | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/rb/darrenmcfadden.html)http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/playerphotos/rb/darrenmcfadden.jpg Considering the sad state of their offensive line Jake Long will be pretty tempting here but at the end of the day Oakland needs playmakers on offense and just can't pass on McFadden, who has a chance to be one of the best running backs prospects to come along in quite some time. A tremendous, do-it-all athlete and pure football player with an ideal blend of size (6-2, 215) and speed (4.4), McFadden would give the Raiders offense the type of shot in the arm and big play dimension that it needs while also taking a lot of pressure off of their young signal caller JaMarcus Russell.

I dont watch much NCAA athletics because i dont like supporting indentured servitude even if by proxy but i certainly came away impressed. The combination of speed and power that the man has is truly elite.

As for comments about his heart etc. He was still going strong after 32 carries in the 4th quarter. Houston Nutt doesnt impress me as a coach FWIW.

Felix reminds me of Julius btw.

meh, i think its just i hate college players who get lots of hype (Except for VY, i love him, i would have stopped hating houston, and rooted for them, if they drafted him )

i guess, it won't kill me to like him

I don't agree with you often but he reminds me of JJ as well. He tries his best to run between the tackles, but like the guys in the booth were saying, it's just not his game.

If you really think about it they make the abolute best RB tandem possible. McFadden is a prototype feature back with speed and powed and Jones is a perfect change of Pace back.

As far as I am concerned.....if we have a chance to draft Mcfadden...We do it. No ands, ifs, or buts about it.

That's why if we don't get DMac, i'd be happy with the Slaton kid. He and MBIII would make a truely dynamic combo. You get a chance to catch a couple WV games, check him out if you haven't already. I compare him to Reggie Bush BIMHO he's a better pure RB. Actually he kinda reminds me or Tony Dorsett. They said TD was too small at 5-11 and 190. Slaton is 5-10 and listed at 190 but will push 200. The Metcalf's also come to mind with Slaton. He'd be a very nice consolation if we don't get DMac.

I agree 100% If he is there, take him. No questions asked, don't pick up the phone if it rings....as a matter of fact, rip the phone plug out of the wall socket...

:lmao2: I was just about to say something about that... He's looks like a combo of Bo Jackson and Eric Dickerson.

Wow.
The man-love here for this kid is getting a little too fruity.

An amazing athlete and talent... absolutely.

But I'm going to play the other side of the fence since no one else will...

6'2" RBs scare me. I don't like their durability issues or run style at the pro-level.

NFL players average 3.8 years and that's a fact. Upright runners are always a concern, but you might want to watch how he lowered his shoulder when he needed to run people over tonight, and in his entire career for that matter. He gave Walter Payton type stiff arms and generally(as someone here said) looked like a man playing with children. If you're scared of getting a ticket, don't buy a hot rod;)

I really dislike Mel Kiper. Can't stand the man, but this would be one of those very few occasions that, if he says we should take McFadden without hesitation, I will be in full agreement with him. After that, I'll make no promises.
