What is going on down there? They are trying to be like the late 80's Sooners.

It is crazy. This keeps up and Mack is walking after the season.

NOOOOOOOO! We need Mack!
It's clear that, without Vince, "Mack Brown is who we thought he was!"

Well, now we know what college the Bengals will be drafting from in April.

Mack has beaten OU three times without Vince Young and once with Vince Young. ;)

Of course, the national championship numbers with and without Young are a bit different.
Though Colt McCoy looks good so far. As long as he stays healthy.

How many coaches win multiple championships? I don't think Brown is a great coach, but I don't understand that argument that he only won with Vince Young. It takes talent to win and his teams typically are talented, but so are a lot of teams. I would not say Texas has more talent than other teams. Probably equal and in some cases less.
Pete Carroll has needed multiple Heisman Trophy winners and 1st round draft choices on his teams to win it. It is not as if he is winning with no talent.
Bob Stoops has one exactly one title.
Now if you want to talk about conference titles, then I can get on board with the argument. Brown should have won more than one Big 12 title by now with the talent he has acquired. It won't happen this year because I think this is one of his least experienced teams. There is some potential talent, but lots of youth and uncertainty. I was thinking they could lose 3 to 4 games. They still might.

My comment was more facetious than serious. I'm a UT guy so I know the story.
The Chris Simms era scarred me, some. He won a lot of games, but never when it really mattered, and I'm still a little bitter about the benching of Applewhite that year.

It wouldn't hurt my feelings in the least, if Greg Davis was locked-up for impersonating someone who has a clue.

I am still baffled how stupid was these clowns where. The latest one takes the stupid award hands down. How did he make it into college with those types of smarts.
Come on your buddies from jail call and ask you to beat up the people they robbed. You agree to do it ! Why ?
What is he doing keeping it real

Well Mack Brown was once on Switzer's staff at Oklahoma so maybe there is more similarity between their styles then some wish to believe.
Both great recruiters with laid back approaches to the players.

its really upsetting as a student of the university of texas to have all these athletes, who represent our great university, one of the best in the nation academically, so badly. Its defenetly a shame, ive seen mack around campus and he is a great guy, i had a friend who went up to him at a jamba juice and told him about some of his players disrupting a class he was in with them, he proceeded to punish them the next practice. I fully expect Mack to turn it all around and this to stop soon. You can say anything you want about Mack as a coach, but you cant question his character as a great human being and a damn good recruiter!
ps nice sig DW, i think ill change mine in response

I'm embarrassed enough by their actions on the field this year.

He's gotta inherit a super bowl champion first.
