LOL, yea right. Notre Lame got spanked again and is going nowhere while 4 people have left their program this month. I hate Notre Lame and feel like fat Charlie is getting everything he deserves.

They do not have as much talent as people think. Some of the talent they do have is young and inexperienced. Don't know why anyone expected them to be contenders this season even for just the Big 12 title.

Not aimed at you but it's funny...............when the exact same thing is used for the Domers, and it's true, it's a lame excuse. Like Weis can make gold out of bat guano......................

I still find it stupid that in college football, unless you go undefeated, your season is considered a disappointment.

Right. But even so, I still think they are more talented than every team in the big 12 except OU. This talent should not be losing 41-21 at home to a team that is not as talented as them. It's really frustrating to watch the Pre-VY Texas Longhorns.

I hear you. I have heard the youth excuse for Notre Dame and I do think that plays a part in their demise. I think it is a good excuse for them not winning. I don't think it is enough of an excuse for the Irish to look absolutely horrible. There is a difference between losing and looking pathetic.
I don't think Texas has enough quality, experienced talent to be contenders, but they are good enough not to start out at 0-5. I figured Texas could potentially lose 4 games this year and was expecting at least 3 losses.

This is why I love pro football so much more after one loss you don't fell like the whole season is over. There's no excuse for Div-1 football not to have a playoff. It's all about the school's getting those big bowl game checks.

I agree that college football needs a playoff system. Even if they eventually go that direction, one loss is going to hurt lots of teams. There are just too many programs competing for the championship. There are 32 NFL team whose goal is a Superbowl win. There are what 119 or 120 colleges trying to win it all. Cut that number in half of real D1A(or whatever they are calling it) that have a real shot. That is a lot of schools. The chances are real that 1 loss can hurt a team especially if that single loss keeps them from winning their own conference.

I didn't see the last one, but the first three ints weren't really anything he did bad.
The first was a fluke int by the NG. The second he got nailed right when he threw it and wasn't able to follow through. The third was tipped. DIdn't see the 4th, but by then I'm sure the whole offense was pressing.
Sweed, who some CLUELESS members here felt was one of the top WRs in the nation before the season started, certainly didn't help him with a couple of drops (maybe more, I didn't see the whole game).

The radio guys doing the post game here in Austin are saying that Texas lost the game. They don't feel that K-State did anything to beat them. I don't get that. The K-State defense pressured McCoy all game long. The Texas defense put no pressure on Freeman. That was the difference in the game in my opinion. Take away the two special teams returns and K-State still out scored Texas.

Agreed. He had chances to make some BIG plays for Texas, but he choked.
I think Colt McCoy is the real deal, but his recievers and OL weren't helping him much today.
And Josh Freeman has to be the most overrated QB in the nation. I swear, I hope the commentators for that game wiped their mouths off after "seeing" him.
All he did was dink and dunk. Whoopty-doo. A good defense would of adjusted. The few times I saw him throw deep his passes looked horrible.

I agree with those radio guys. Texas gave up 17 points of Turnovers and a kick return in the first half.
I'm not Texas fan, but it's obvious the more talented team lost that game.

Well, maybe if UofTexas throws more money at Mac then he will win?
Maybe if they get more players arrested they can intimidate more? No, probably not.
Well, darn.
I thought the Longhorns would be exposed for the softies they are when the Sooners would crush them, but Kstate made it come sooner.
From Austin to Dallas ....
DON'T GO THERE, LONGHORNS!!!!

Special teams didn't show up today for the Horns. KState took it to them in almost all facets of the game.

i agree 100%. how can you say the defense played bad? they played great, its not their fault colt is playing like crap, the offensive line cant protect the qb and lets people get so close to him half his passes get tipped. its also not their fault that our special teams went from awesome to horrid in one off season. 17 points off turnovers and 14 from kick returns = 31 points!!! that means they only really earned 10 points, not the defenses fault. i had high hope for the season, maybe i was just being a homer, but whatever, i just hope we can improve and build for next season.
Sweed is so overated it's rediculous, when Texas still had a chance in this one he got alligator arms.
i thought he was awesome but he has really dissapointed me this year, i think you are right about him.

if it wasnt for VY greg davis would have been gone long ago, i hope he gets canned soon, ive never liked that dumba**
Looks like Colt McCoy has come down from his freshman high :laugh2:
yup, he sure did. i wonder if its just that he sucks or his line sucks or if he is hurt. Either way if he keeps getting hurt that means hes a pansy and we need to think about switching to Chiles if he keeps struggling like this. After last year i thought we had the next Major applewhite, now i think we got the next chris simms.
