Stars enter Forsberg derby
Oct 15 - The Stars have joined the list of teams in pursuit of free agent C Peter Forsberg, sending GM Doug Armstrong and club official Brett Hull to Sweden to try to woo him, according to the Denver Post.
Forsberg, 34, is practicing with his former Swedish club MoDo.
The Red Wings, Avalanche, Flyers, Kings and Senators have been rumored to be pursuing Forsberg, but the oft-injured star is still uncertain if he will play this season. Senators GM Bryan Murray is believed to have told Forsberg's agent, Don Baizley, that they can pay him $3M, according to the Ottawa Sun. Forsberg, who made $5.75M last season, had offseason surgery to repair an injury in his right ankle and recently had a procedure for a hernia.
