Default I got to meet Dan Reeves- pics

I attended a Sports Collectibles show this weekend in Houston.

I had the honor of meeting Dan Reeves.

He signed a mini helmet for me.

A buddy hooked me up with a chance to meet Don Talbert, but I missed the opportunity to meet him cause I was delayed eating fajitas and tripas at one of Houston's best Mexican Restaurants. Don Talbert played for the Cowboys in the early 60s and 70s and was part of the SB VI team. He did leave an autographed picture for me though which I think was very nice of him even though he waited for me and my buddies for an hour till he finally had to leave.

Good picture. Thanks for sharing.

I wonder if the folks putting on the autograph show made Reeves clock in.

I woulldn't have been able to resist asking him if he would reveal what the real reason he didn't end up working for the Cowboys was.

Too cool. Walt Garrison tells the best stories about Don "Varmint" Talbert. he was some kind of hell raiser in those days.

Glad you could get those autographs. I once ran into Darren woodson and he signed 50 pesos. Only thing I had.

I thought about it too, but thought it wouldn't be cool asking...

From what I hear... he still is. Kinda.

We called him on the phone to see if he could still meet us and told him we would buy him a beer. He said, you'll need to buy me a 6 pack...

A friend of mine got me Woody's autograph on a golf scorecard.. and it's even personally addressed. Even though it's sort of random, it's one of my favorites.. right next to the ball signed by The Triplets.

Thanks for sharing Da Fan, always love these posts of yours with your different experiences.

Great pic, DaFan. Reeves would be one of my favorite old Cowboys to meet.

That is what you get for letting your stomach get in the way of meeting a former cowboy. That restraunt would still be there later.
