MySA: Cowboys' Bryant passes playbook quiz

Web Posted: 08/19/2010 12:00 CDT OXNARD, Calif. Offensive coordinator Jason Garrett gave injured rookie receiver Dez Bryant a pop quiz on the offense after Wednesday's afternoon practice. He wanted to make sure I was on top of my game and going over the playbook, Bryant said. He wanted to know if I had everything down. Bryant often plays catch with other players on the side during practice. When nobody is available, he throws the ball up in the air to himself. I'll bet that Wade Phillips can pass a pop quiz too. Once the offense lines up, Phillips gets to call out the predictable play that Garrett called. In fact that would be a goos pop quiz for the whole defense, and I have no doubt the starters would at least pass it.
