Nick Eatman DC.COM: Forcing The Issue: Rookie Safeties Making A Strong Case

SAN DIEGO - First it was the tight end position. Last week, it was the offensive line. And after Saturday night's preseason game in San Diego, you got the sense the safety position might be headed there as well.

You know - half the guys at the position are in street clothes, leaving the rest of them scrambling to get through practice, much less a game.

Gerald Sensabaugh's first-quarter shoulder injury, which sounds like could keep him out for a week or two, thins out an already-thin safety position even more. X-rays on Sensabugh's shoulder were negative, which is a good thing of course, but the subluxation of the injury could put him on the shelf for a bit.

Either way, the safety spot is getting a little bit dicey - injuries or not.

Can we just post the entire article and then the link below it? This is getting to be like a certain blog before they revamped the format where every single post i have to follow a jump just to read it. It gets quite frustrating. Just something i would appriciate seeing in the future.

No, we can't. It's not legal. They're working on some things though.

The thing about Church versus McCray is that I wonder who has more potential as a safety. Could Church eventually be a starter? If so, can you afford to try to get him on the PS?

Dang man. It is one click of the mouse.

It used to be like that...whole articles being copied, but those days are gone for now. Blame the lawyers...

Didn't realize that. Seemed silly, like everything else about our legal system.

Where have you been that you missed those discussions.
When asked whether Jason Garrett is the right head coach for this team: "I don't think there is anyone else that could. I think he is an unbelievable coach. We've responded to him and he has made us better football players, better people. If you watch us I think we play with a certain relentless spirit." --Sean Lee
