Draft prospect Tinsley found dead at age 22
The University of Minnesota announced on Friday that former Golden Gophers LB Gary Tinsley passed away on Friday morning in his Minneapolis apartment.
The 22-year-old was considered a marginal NFL draft prospect after finishing second on the team last season with 87 tackles.
According to the school, Tinsley was found unresponsive Friday morning in his apartment on the Minneapolis campus. He was pronounced dead at the scene. There was no indication of foul play. A press conference was slated for Friday afternoon.
