ESPND: DeMarcus Ware gets credit to extend sack streak
IRVING, Texas – Elias decided to split the fourth-quarter sack of Philadelphia’s Nick Foles between Anthony Spencer and DeMarcus Ware, giving Ware a streak of seven games with at least a half-sack.
“The streak is alive, but the thing is we’ve got to keep the streak of winning games,” Ware said. Spencer was initially given the full sack and forced fumble that led to Jason Hatcher’s touchdown by the Philadelphia stat crew, but Elias made the change official Wednesday. “Why wouldn’t he?” Spencer said with a smile when asked about Ware wanting credit. “He was there.
