Default PFT: DeSean Jackson out for season with fractured ribs

As the Eagles’ season goes from bad to worse, they’ve now lost one of their top offensive playmakers.

DeSean Jackson, the wide receiver who guaranteed a Super Bowl when he signed a new five-year contract in March, will miss the rest of this season with fractured ribs, coach Andy Reid announced today. Jackson leads the team with 45 catches for 700 yards, so his loss will be yet another blow to an offense that continues to struggle.

Reid said Jackson’s injury will take about six weeks to heal and shouldn’t affect him during the offseason. (Reid, of course, will have no role in anything Jackson does during the offseason, as Reid is sure to be fired when this season ends.)

We still struggle vs them. No need to jump for joy.

just when my fantasy team couldnt get any worse.
I feel that everyone who wants to say anything, do anything, should be able to say anything or do anything, within the limits of not hurting another person.

I have him on one of my teams. It's a blessing really, as he wasn't producing but we were afriad to drop him. Now go get someone who will produce mroe than him--whcih should be very easy seeing that he gave us nothing.

Guys like Blackmon, Shorts, and Alexander are still available in some leagues. Maybe even Broyles. Also, Greg Jenings is returning and may be out there too.

Yep. I am sure his backup will burn us for 3 touchdowns and 300+ yards.

One thing you have to say though, as bad as our season has been - and it's been bad - the Eagles' season has been even worse.

Much worse.

That whole thing is getting blown up in about two months.

Bottom line is, we both stink, and we both can't get out of our own way.

We have no room to point and laugh at anybody, or to call them worse.

Didn't mean to come across as 'pointing and laughing', I try not to be that way if I can help it.

Never like to take pleasure in the woes of others.

I honestly feel somewhat bad for them.

I saw Reid last night before the game and he looked like a man headed for the gallows.

We have our issues to be sure, but that team looks like they have just up and quit.

I don't see that same quit from our team.

Dude *** are you talking about? They've lost 7 straight and we're in the mix of a playoff berth. Playing well or not, we have a shot. Oh yea, they're definitely worse. You sound ridiculous!!!

True, but I'm totally at DeSean Jackson. He's a loud-mouth little punk.

You mean Reid doesn't have a "built in excuse" to keep his job with all these injuries?

Agreed. Much worse. Sometimes I wish our team would get blown up too.
