Default Brees and 5 picks *Merge*

Happens to the best of them appearently. 5-7 5 picks. Should they just cut bait and start looking for a new QB to ?

I'm pretty sure he has a ring.

Which apparently makes a player or coach teflon.

Yup. It does. Whether people like it or not.

Either way, I would be willing to bet that if you asked coaches and scouts to choose who they would want to be their starting QB, Brees would win in a landslide.

If our arguments for Romo every year are that other QB's throw 4 or 5 Interceptions in a game, then we have a problem with our QB's ability to protect the football.

The Saints are a perfect example of how important coaching is in the NFL. They would have a better record with Payton there, as would we.

He also has 31 touchdown passes this year. Romo has half that.

Vs Rodgers, Brady and maybe one or two other....I doubt it.

If this was for Romo, well yes. We're talking top 3-5 compared top 7-12 or so. But I don't hardly anyone advocating Romo over Brees, YR.

I never said that. Winning a super bowl makes a 5 pick game more palatable.
I like Romo, I think he can win a super bowl if the team were better. I'm not sold on Red though.

Not to me it doesn't, but then I don't freak out over players having a bad game.

Drew Bree's has always been a turnover machine. He must lead the league in balls that should have been picked but were dropped also.

But, that is a function of there offense, to play uptempo and be aggressive you have to take calculated risks and chances. That is what he does.

That is why they score so many points, that is why he throws so many touchdowns. It's not a cautious slow offense, it's a fast aggressive uptempo group.

That is why people don't complain about him. The are going to keep coming at you no matter what happened.

He could throw 50 picks but would still scare the hell out of the next defense he is going to play because of there offense.

Hey are well coached and they play the same way every week and every snap.

Novel concept.

That's great fletch then don't reply.
The defensive unit was doing the bounties, not Brees. That's funny.

It's a team game last time I checked. The defense contributed. Don't kid yourself.
