Default No question Tony romo needs to be extended

All time leader in td passes. Passing 3 HOFers. Think of all those points scored over the years despite lackluster defenses, horrid olines and running games that weren't.

There's no question he needs to be extended and Jerry needs to help this man win a Super Bowl.

Thanks for all the thrills, tony. I appreciate you

Kid is really good and is getting no help from anyone in front of him.

Its like him, Dez, and Witten are playing against 11 guys (with some help from Murray and Austin in the rare times they are not injured)

The front office has to address this.

I do not give a crap about that or your sarcasm.

Their o-line plan did not work.

They need to get it fixed ...... they went all in on defensive backs last year ..... time to go all in (actually way past time I know) on the O-line.

I thought they fortified the line this off-season enough to be decent.

I was wrong

You probably didn't account for RT dissolving. And for the repeated injuries at C, either.

Yes, the OL is a problem. Especially OT. And we need more depth everywhere. I think not having a WR to stretch defenses has been nearly as painful for us this year.
When asked whether Jason Garrett is the right head coach for this team: "I don't think there is anyone else that could. I think he is an unbelievable coach. We've responded to him and he has made us better football players, better people. If you watch us I think we play with a certain relentless spirit." --Sean Lee

good points

1) all those injured players will come back next year so we are set at pretty much every position

2) now that all other positions have been adequately addressed (esp OL), perhaps we should give up our #1 and #3 for wallace or just trade up into the top 10 for a 'stretch the field' WR. hw are defenses going to stop us when we have wallace, Dez, and miles on the field together?

3) for depth, we can spend the rest of the picks on 'back-ups', we havent addressed the backups in alomst 3 years now (since the 2009 draft)

I agree with you completely.

But I will not make excuses ...... I was wrong about thinking the o-line would be decent this year during the off-season.

They have to fix it this off-season.

One thing I haven't really heard anywhere...maybe Tony tabled contract talks because he doesn't want to be in Dallas anymore. It doesn't look like he's having any fun, and I'm sure he's sick of the fans/media/Jerryworld circus.

I wouldn't be shocked if he plays out next year and tests the FA market.

extending Romo is good way to remain 8-8 each year. Its not that he doesn't put up gaudy passing stats (he does) its his inability to rally people around him. Watching RG3 shows what happens when QB with ability and leadership can transform an entire team even a city.

Dallas only shot at this stage is to make big move in draft and try to draft young QB who can also catch lightening in a bottle like RG3.

Extending any quarterback beyond age 34 is a bad idea, if you're serious about winning championships.
