I mean, neither one is setting the world on fire. But where would Bernadeau rank if he had a tackle next to him who was say ranked 40th rather than 68th?

Well, no offense but I'll ignore the idiotic PFF rankings, as they're garbage not worth looking at.
How good would slop be playing next to quality? A little better but still slop. What's your point? Do you want to fix the OL or continue messing around while your franchise QB keeps getting older?
Bernadeau and Livings are backup quality players. Cook is an emergency body and Costa shouldn't be in the league. Doug Free is exactly what I said he was during the Doug Free...Superstar! tour. Completely overrated. He's a swing tackle, nothing more.
You will not fix this OL until those players are no longer on the field. You can improve it next year by replacing some of them but you won't fix it to the tune of it being a strength of the team like it should be until all those players are either ex-Cowboys or sitting on the bench watching the game.
That is the long and short of it, Mikey. You have to have a base of talent before coaching and scheme comes into play. We don't have that.
