Default If possible, would you change our DC from Rob Ryan to Lovie Smith?

from Rob Ryan to Lovie Smith?

I feel Lovie got a raw deal in Chicago. He had to deal with the Forte contract nonsense and then the various Forte injuries. He had to deal with a horrible OL that kept getting his starting QB knocked out of games. He had to deal with injuries on defense to vital players. All that, and they still ended up 10-6.

He will probably be looking for another HC position.....but, if he was willing to consider a DC spot, I would rather have him than Ryan. Smith's defenses get to the QB, create turnovers, score points, and more often than not, get crucial stops when needed.

Absolutely.

Lovie has been fielding great defenses since his days in St. Louis.

He should stay way away from AZ, Kurt Warner isn't coming out of retirement

I don't believe in team motivation. I believe in getting a team prepared so it knows it will have the necessary confidence
when it steps on a field and be prepared to play a good game... Tom Landry

How many coaches, OC's, and DC's are we gonna go through?

Same results.

It's the man upstairs who we need to change.

I don't get why you'd fire a coach that has taken your team to a Super Bowl, and ended up with a 10-6 record in a tough division. Only four teams in the conference (8 in the league) had better records. I agree Lovie will be a head coach somewhere, and will make the Bears rue this move.

I can see Andy Reid going to Arizona as HC/OC and Lovie as his DC.

If they can get a decent QB, that could be a team that contends next year.

I would go to the highest point of New York where I live and scream at the top of my lungs. I love me some lovie!!! I'd be so happy to get rid of Ryan. I hate the whole Ryan family all the way back to buddy.

Lovie Smith is going to be a HC somewhere and even if he wasn't Ryan isn't going anywhere, injuries the team suffered will see to that.

You and me, both, brother.

Plus, it'd give us a 'Ginger' and a 'Lovie.' Two-sevenths of the way to our Gilligan's Island coaching staff. What other team could say that? Seriously?
When asked whether Jason Garrett is the right head coach for this team: "I don't think there is anyone else that could. I think he is an unbelievable coach. We've responded to him and he has made us better football players, better people. If you watch us I think we play with a certain relentless spirit." --Sean Lee

Okay, well now that you've started that, we'll need a Skipper and a Professor, though I would like to do without a Gilligan...

Rob Ryan did an absolutely incredible job of stringing together a middle of the pack defense out of parts from the scrap heap.

The job he did this season warrants our trust.
