The fact that you're now taking advice from Stephen A. Smith, a well known Cowboys hater and mediot, speaks volumes about you.

The difference between us is the simple fact that I can take constructive criticism with an open mind. Once again, Stephen A. nailed it.

I really can't stand the guy but he was dead on about this. You are correct, every single word was the truth.

Can't stand Stephen A, but he could not be more spot on with this point. If it is true that Garrett would not even consider giving up his horrendous "game planning" lol, and play calling then there really is no hope for next year. If we have to have him as a coach because of Jerry, at least Norv coming here would shine a slight ray of hope of improving. 40 games of 500 ball is plenty of sample size when this was not a rebuilding team but a team coming off a division title in 09 that had just lost their respect for Wade and needed new leadership.

I watched about 2 minutes of him speaking and then turned it off. He's a moron who doesn't even follow the Cowboys but has this huge opinion about them. All I needed to hear was that Garrett's ego is too big to let an OC come here. I can only take so much stupidity. If he were HC for 5 years and things were the way they are now, I'd say there's some legitimacy.

I don't know if Garrett's ego is to big or not, doesn't matter.
If bringing an experienced OC will help why would any one have an issue with it.

Garrett might turn out to be a great coach, what's wrong with having an experienced coach get him to that level?

Wade was always a lousy HC but he's a hell of a DC.
Couldn't the same be said for Turner?

Exactly. Half of these dopes have never played an organized sport in their life. But they're an "expert".

I'm not a Skip or Stephen A fan at all but there is a reason why there are football writers, sports writers, talking heads, etc...to give you their opinion on what they see. He sees what alot of other people see. Doesn't mean he can't have an opinion that is correct.

I firmly believe it will get much worse than 8 and 8. We've got too many holes due to poor personnel decisions both in the draft and with regards to contract extensions. It's not unlike the mid/late 90's and early 2000's under Campo. The only difference is that we have a QB that hides some of those flaws and can win us multiple games and basically carry this team.

There's no way we can fix this team in the upcoming draft and we'll have limited salary cap dollars to spend because of some poor salary cap decisions (ie: extensions). We haven't hit rock bottom yet and we won't until Romo either retires or leaves. Then we're left with a personnel department that thought McGee could develop into a solid back-up, so much so that's not even in the league right now.

We can only hope that we're in the cellar for a short time, get a high draft pick and pray that there's a franchise QB we can draft similar to the Colts situation and get us back on the right path.

The NFC East is only going to get tougher. Look at the QB's in RGIII and Manning that we'll have to face twice a year. Shanahan and Coughlin are solid coaches and there's talk of the Eagles interested in Chip Kelly from the college ranks. By all accounts, he's a very bright offensive coach. Our only saving grace is that there may not be a franchise QB worthy of the #4 pick in the draft this year for the Eagles. This team needs to figure things out pretty quickly.
