Default Phillip Tanner forever a historical footnote

It was Phillip Tanner that delivered the blow that ended Ray Lewis' career.

Tanner talked trash at Lewis after bowling him over. Now he's the answer to a trivia question as his own career is getting iffy itself.

He's going to give it a go, but I don't think he was planning on retiring yet. That's what he said earlier this season.

Best linebacker I've ever seen.

I would consider that a highlight.

Dez Bryant, Receiver. A man who's season is over. Gentlemen, the Cowboy's staff can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world's first super human receiver.
Dez Bryant will be that man. Better than he was before. Better.... Stronger..... Faster......

That Tanner play was when Ray finally conceded and took himself out. He was reduced to trying to tackle Tanner with one arm. If you watch closely, Ray's arm was dangling several plays before that.

If he's playing today, then Tanner didn't end his career. And it's a huge stretch to say that injury convinced Ray to retire. If so, he likely wouldn't be playing today.
