Default I love, love this draft...but.....

We didn't get our Suspect QB - any help...at ALL!
We needed/need a wideout...

Unless Glover is going to be dealt for a WR i.e. Reggie Wayne?

Again, this is a great weekend for us...I am ecstatic...I guess it would have been perfect had we signed Plax Burress.

Our WRs are fine, for now. You can't fix everything in one year.

I agree because I am more than comfortable with Morgon/Crayton battling for the 3rd WR. As far as QB, well....can't make everyone happy. I don't want to pick at it anymore for a while....

I know, I guess I'm being greedy, however I do NOT feel our WR's are fine...I'd say they are suspect like our QB.
Our D and OL are gonna have ton work triple as hard as most teams.

Well we only had so many picks... I thought we maximized what we did have though. Excellent value.

I'm not saying we have an upper echelon set of wideouts, but if Glenn's healthy they're a good enough group for this team to make noise in the playoffs. Can't forget to include Witten. He's part of the receiving corps. We'll have Julius behind an upgraded OL with Campbell blocking for him and an explosive rookie backing him up so that he stays fresh. Do we need to upgrade? Do we need a speed guy to stretch the field? Yes. Yes. But the group of receivers in Dallas is good enough to get the team to the playoffs and win some. I think we're one off-season away from being serious contenders. We'll draft our stud receiver next year.

we got very good value at all our picks with no reaches. WR is a need but much further down the list then the others we have. I'm worried more about FS more than wideout but this draft has been terrific.

BINGO - end of story.

There is no formula for success except an unconditional acceptance of life and what it brings.

Apparently they're happy at this point with Q. Morgan as the 3rd receiver. I can't quibble with the picks. There haven't been any reaches-- first time in a long time I could look at a draft of the Cowboys and honestly say there isn't one "reach" there.

I understand wanting a WR, but to say that WR is a weakness for the cowboys is a big stretch. If healthy, Keyshawn is a great slot WR (#1 overall in his draft), and Glenn is a great speed threat, Morgan as the third is not bad at all. The problem here is that both our starters are a little older, but they still have a lot left in the tank, and we can add a receiver next year to replace them as they really go downhill. Plaxico wouldn't have been much of an upgrade (he is all potential, but if you don't remember, he was the #2 or 3 guy on Pitt- certainly not the best WR in the league). I am going to bet WR won't be what holds us back next year.

Going into this draft, we didn't need a wide receiver...

Keyshawn Johnson is a good possession receiver.

Terry Glenn has the speed to stretch the field.

Jason Witten is one of the premier tight ends in the game.

We have a nice crop of supplementary receivers to back them up.

No, on the offensive side, we needed to solidify the offensive line going into this draft. Defense needed to be patched up and those holes were addressed. And, if we're going to be dealing yearly ALL-PRO Glover away for ANYBODY, the swap better include more (impressive) names than Reggie Wayne, dang it.

After this draft we have to go offense next year don't we?

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

I think some are overlooking Crayton and how well he did towards the last part of the season. Copper as well showed some good abilities and each guy returns this coming season with a bit more understanding of the offense and a better ideal of the Pro game itself

I have been drinking Crarton Kool Aid since I saw him in TC. He is a terrific pick and athlete, and should make a heckuva #3 (if not better eventually) and utility player. I still prefer him returning kicks - he NEVER goes down on the first tackle attempt.
