Default NFL.com - Colin Kaepernick files to trademark signature pose

Am I the only one that thinks this is ridiculous?

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap100...signature-pose

Quote:
Eric Branch of The San Francisco Chronicle reported Wednesday that the San Francisco 49ers' starting quarterback has filed to trademark the term "Kaepernicking," per the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

The craze, borne out of Kaepernick's tendency to celebrate touchdowns by flexing his right arm and kissing his bicep, has led to a flood of fan-generated Internet photos copying the pose.

A nation asleep at the wheel barrels onward.
Pretty much the most perfect closing statement ever.

The idea that someone could even trademark something like this is dumb.

I'm going to trade mark high fiving and waving.

Default I think...

...McKayla Maroney should trademark her "I'm not impressed" smirk.

Could we link every post in thread to the "Is the NFL a joke" thread. Would save a lot of time.
AS: Cowboys ice their own kicker in 19-13 OT loss

Wow this is getting ridiculous.. People have been doing this "pose" for at least 100 years. And "Kaepernicking?" Really? Smh
