Default Is Charles Woodson too expensive?

Just wanted some thoughts. Can he help? Can we afford him? Would you want him? Packers just released him.

Would most likely be too expensive anyway, but it would interesting to see him at safety in our new defense.

I watch all Packer games. Charles has not lost a step he has lost about three steps. It is a young mans game and Charles while a great leader and ambassador is not the same Woodson from even three years ago. Not sure he gets what he wants. It was time for the Packers to make a move. Their safety position has not been strong since Nick Collins got hurt.
Polk County Florida Sheriff Grady Judd when asked why his Swat Team shot a suspected Cop Killer 68 times answered, "That's all the bullets we had."

Charles Woodson has had a great run. Really, can any defensive football player in history claim a run quite like he has:
  • 1st primarily defensive player to win the Heisman trophy
  • Leader of a National Championship winning Michigan team
  • NFL Defensive MVP
  • Superbowl Champion
  • Played on another Superbowl team
  • Screwed out of a third superbowl appearance by the "Tuck rule"
  • 6 AP All-Pro Teams
  • 8 Pro-bowls
  • 59 Interceptions, 11 for TDs
  • 29 Forced Fumbles
  • 17 sacks
For his sake, I hope he hangs it up. It's never fun to watch a former great player at a greatly diminished level at the end of his career.

I agree 100%. If he came as a safety at a reasonable price in Cowboys spending budget like Hamlin did, why not? But we all know the reality of this situation, some people like living a certain way with a certain budget themselves so with his value to many teams that do have a budget that's higher than Cowboys will basically give him what he wants like Bills did with Mario Williams.

Richard Sherman was pitching hard for Woodson on NFL radio. Seemed to think he would be missing piece for that team (Seattle).

Opinion Charles Woodson as a Safety Option with Church...

I would dump Sensabaugh in a NY minute and sign Woodson, thoughts?

The true question should be......Is Charles Woodson too old?
The toothbrush had to be invented in West Virginia, if it was created anywhere else it would have been called a teethbrush.
