Parcells Lays Down Gauntlet to Zimmer (??) - Dallas Cowboys Forum

On the Dale Hansen show today (he was interviewing Aikman - as many of you know), Dale played this clip from Bill Parcells :

In referring to Mike Zimmer and the 3-4 Defense:

He spent all winter, that was one of his jobs, to get familiar with it and don’t tell me about what ya don’t wanna do. Be prepared to do whatever I tell ya, because it’s not gonna be a suggestion.

Dale commented the following after the audio clip:

I’m sorry. I’m sorry. That’s just a jerk to say that!

I was just wondering where that audio came from. Does anyone know if that is from this weekend?

There must be problems (obviously) with Parcells and Zimmer on the philosophy of this defense.

Hmmmm, maybe don't jump to conclusions so fast, likely that was taken out of context. and anyway, who is dale to call Parcells (head coach and therefore zimmers boss) jerk for doing his job and taking command.

Dale is bitter. He needs to just go away. I for one am glad Bill laid down the gauntlet. Zimmer needs to get his butt in gear.

Dale was even trying to get Troy to back him up on bashing BP but Troy would'nt do it. I would love to see him get fired better yet somebody knock the s__t out of him.

Parcells exact words were "...at some point it's not going to be a suggestion."

There is a difference. He didn't come off as a jerk, just someone who wanted things done the way he wants them done.

Yep and for the record i like zim and dont put all the blame on him for last year as well as i cant totally give him credit for the year before. I do respect parcells because bill could have got rid of him already.Obviously he likes zim.

Parcells is taking over on D, he has also recently said he should have done it from day one!

zimmy is the WORST DC this Cowboys team has EVER had & Parcells knows it!
