Default first annual "All-Thug" team

coming soon to a penal league near you, the 2005 All Thug Team:

QB--you hate to go with a rookie, but Adrian McPherson fits the mold of what we're looking for...gambling on football, stealing checks...

QB--Quincy Carter as a backup...cant go wrong with a dope fiend as a backup QB

RB--Jamal Lewis...coke dealing...multiple episodes of thug activity in high school and college

RB Onterrio Smith--classic rap sheet

WR Randy Moss...trying to run over cops is a plus for his candicy

WR-- Koren Robinson...drugs, alcohol...bad attitude

WR--Az Hakim...rape!

TE--Jerramy Stevens...all sorts of mayhem

T--Chad Slaughter...we're not sure if he has a record, but we like the potential nic-name of "Man" Slaughter

T Chris Terry...beats wife, alchol related incidents

G--Rex Tucker...listed as a tackle, but we're moving him to G...lots of violent history

G--Nate Newton...we had trouble filling this position so we brought him out of retirement...always have room for people who want to be the king of pot dealing

C--Richie Incognito...another rookie, but we like his college rap sheet

DE--John Abraham...we like his ability as a dominant pass rusher, but multiple DUI's seal spot on team

DE--Leonard Little...homicide always gets you on this team...also can be a good drinking bud for Abraham

DT--Anttaj Hawthorne...another rookie, but he likes weed

DT--Darrell Russell...he's a little old and a free agent, but we like his rap sheet and he was cheap

LB--Ray Lewis...will battle up and comer Sean Taylor as team captain

LB--Channing Crowder...another rookie, but again..past rap sheet makes him a good value pickup...

LB--Willie Williams...we realize he's still in college, but anyone with 11 arrests prior to their 20th birthday has to be on this team

S--Sean Taylor...tremendous thug upside

S--Mike Doss...thugs with weapons get a spot here

CB---Dale Carter...multiple suspensions...attitude problems...we like it

CB--Tyrone Williams...currently a free agent, can be had cheap...quality trouble maker

K--Sebastian Janikowski...might be deported eventually, but no questioning his ability as trouble maker

P--hard to find punters with rap sheets, but went with Todd Sauerbraun since he's been implicated for steroids

Head Coach--we talked OJ Simpson into taking over the head job of Team Mayhem...no prior coaching experience, but his previous thug activity and abiltity to beat the rap will be useful for this squad

If you need a guard, use Larry Allen. Accused of rape outside of a strip club many years ago.

Just to be picky, I don't see being a dope head as the same as being a thug. To me a thug is someone who is violent. Lots of dope heads aren't. Kyle Turley is a thug. Bill Romonawski was a thug.

My vote for coach would be Dennis Green, ... wife beater.

No bigger thug than a man who hits a woman.

How about a vet QB for backup, didn't Warren Moon hit his wife too ?

Better add Terry Glenn then too.

He was, after all, arrested for 'assaulting' the mother of his oldest child, and then charged with felony intimidation of a witness.

As a woman I have no problem agreeing that the lowest form of human life is that which physcially abuses someone smaller and weaker.

But as an adult, I know domestic abuse charges involving the rich and famous, as in Terry's case, are not always what was first reported.
