Cowboys sign Peterman, third-round pick

IRVING - The Dallas Cowboys on Wednesday signed offensive lineman Stephen Peterman, a third-round pick from LSU.

Peterman became the fifth of Dallas' eight picks to sign and the highest yet to strike a deal. Training camp opens Friday in Oxnard, Calif.

The unsigned players are second-rounders Julius Jones, a running back hoping to battle Eddie George for the starting job, and tackle Jacob Rogers; and fourth-rounder Bruce Thornton, a cornerback.
