Default Ahmad Brooks

Anyone know if Ahmad Brooks declared for the draft? He would be awesome on the inside next to Bradie James. Plus we have the Canty/Al Groh connection....

He did NOT declare...staying in college one more year....

Too bad...He was my pick for us at #18 this year....
When asked about his mobility-

CRAP! He was my pick too! Had visions of him starting with Dat subbing on passing downs. Prolongs Dats career and keeps his vet leadership around without the abuse of tangling with o lineman in the running game...

If he hasnt I wonder If Bobby Carpenter could line up inside? Does he have any experience on the inside? Kinda got my heart set on Julian Peterson playing the other outside spot in the 3-4. He can rush the passer but is also superior in coverage. Kind of a neccesity on the left side...

I remember a game we played against the niners a few years back where they played Peterson at safety half the time! Pretty versitile. Think they had bigtime injuries that game. Anyway, the guy was all over the field...

I think that Peterson will come at too high a cost. There is no denying that he's a playmaker but he's going to be in high demand if he as reported hits the open market..

I don't know if Carpenter can play inside or not, But I would have no objection if he were there at 18 depending on what WR is available(Holmes)..

Brooks made the right decision to stay in school for his senior season since he had a disappointing junior year. I think he has the potential to be a top five pick next year if he can stay healthy.

You are right, I think next year he has to stay healthy, and drop some weight. I read he is up to 265+, I htink he needs to play at around 250-255.

Default Red Flag

Ahmad Brooks has character issues, believe at least 1 marijuana bust. He stayed in school for a reason. His stock had plumetted.

I don't believe Carpenter will go in round 1.

I think it will depend on how far back from injury he is at this weekends all shrine game and his combine performance... That said I think he could go mid to late first round... But I don't think he'd be there in the second round when the 'Boys pick
